This was one of those few battles where Bryan was actually having fun for once especially since Bryan got to showcase to Jayden how bat shit crazy this one pokemon he had was. Of course the pokemon he wanted to show was the shadow kommo-o. [break][break]

It was going down, but it decided to try and leave a parting gift to Jayden's current pokemon who was out, launching a power whip at it, taking out part of the stage from the sheer power behind it.

it's almost over.

[break][break] the battle had been full of bloodshed, two rockets pitted against one another for nothing more than a prize at the end. bryan was inebriated, but so was jayden. the pleasant buzz had numbed nearly all of his sensations — the pain, the hurt. behind him the flags flickered with flames, caught fire from the round's previous attacks. the shadow kommo-o had been impressive. far more impressive than anything jayden had in his own aresenal — he only wished he'd been present at the assembly to know what it had been like when bryan had been given it.

[break][break] how far had they come?

[break][break] it felt like only a week ago that he'd brought bryan into rocket itself, knife to his throat and all.

[break][break] jayden watches as his drifblim and bryan's pokemon go to hand-to-hand combat. the pokemon is strong, that much is true. however, no tower is impenetrable and eventually — they all fall.

[break][break] his drifblim releases a powerful SELF-DESTRUCT. explosions sound from the pokemon as the drifblim detonates, the destruction carving a hole in the platform where he's standing. that much, jayden is ready for. what he isn't ready for —

[break][break] "watch out!"

[break][break] bryan is standing too close to one of the pillars. the kommo-o swings out with a power whip, taking half the stage along with it. as the obelisk creaks sideways, dropping down on what likely would be bryan himself, jayden leaps forward. he grabs the younger man, shoving him out of the way just in time.

[break][break] he breathes heavy, as he crumples on top of him. "are you even paying attention?"

[attr="class","bryanbody"]The self destruct rocked Bryan's entire world pretty much, he was already pretty unsteady from the blast and booze but it was jayden that actually knocked Bryan over instead of the attack as it seemed like the pokemon going crazy caused a pillar near bryan to fall. The referee watching the match terrified of the spectacle he was watching but it seemed like despite all the chaos Bryan was actually laughing. [break][break]
"Are you?" he giggled as he saw the position the two men were in, pretty suggestive. as he pushed Jayden off of him playfully. "Told ya that thing was a psychopath!" he says as he recalls the Kommo-o who was now passed out on the battle field. [break][break]

"Cmon onto the next one! You get first move!" he says as he pulls out a new pokeball and summons his vileplume onto the field, eager to see who will win this drunk battle.

bryan giggles.

[break][break] jayden stares blankly down at him, unsure what to make of it. maybe it's the fact that bryan has never laughed like that in front of him, or maybe it's the alcohol. he just stares at the other, confused, even as he attempts to make a joke of the whole situation. scorching flames heat the air, rubble scattered all around them. a wooden pillar on it's side, from where it could've crushed the younger boy to bones.

[break][break] and jayden — he laughs too. giggles.

[break][break] maybe it's the alcohol? it's definitely the alcohol.

[break][break] his own giggles sound foreign to him even as the other pushes at his chest, as he stands upright and then offers a hand out to drag the other up as well. "you were right. okay, okay."

[break][break] he fumbles for his belt, reaching for the closest pokeball on hand. his fingers flick against kata, and it is mere minutes before the pokemon materializes into view.

[break][break] tiny swords coalesce around the dragon in the form of SWORD DANCE, powering the creature up.

[attr="class","bryanbody"] Both of them were having a great time, good! Bryan needed to unwind from everything going on, Soleil's health was improving if ever so slightly so he took that chance to enjoy himself. [break][break]
He was also glad he and Jayden were having a good time, they both needed it. "Vileplume! Grassy terrain!" he orders as vileplume spouts out a green gass that slowly begins to cover the floor of the battle arena and sprouts some grass on the floor.

bright foliage and greenery roll out like a carpet underfoot, spreading over the battlefield in an instant.

[break][break] the haxorus lets out a cry of agreement, stomping it's feet against the grassy terrain. a wild grin flashes by her as she taunts her opponent into attacking.

[break][break] another laugh bubbles to jayden's chest, unbidden. "you're not half-bad, delarosa." a pause, before he grinned. "still gonna lose though."

[attr="class","bryanbody"] The taunt managed to really piss of vileplume, so much so that it'd disobey any orders that wouldn't directly cause harm to the opposing pokemon. Holy shit this thing had fucking issues huh? Oh well Bryan was definetly the type of trainer to feed into it so he indulged it. "Heh, thanks for the compliment there bud. Vileplume! Grassy glide." he ordered as Vileplume slid around on the grassy terrain with some extra speed. [break][break]

Once close enough vileplume would leap into the air and try to punch kata in the face for daring to taunt him! "But im also a little shit too." he said smirking as he took a swig from his flask really fast.

the shiny vileplume matches perfectly in with the grass, gliding on the bright terrain like an experience ice skater. it's no surprise that it's able to get close to the haxorus — though maybe that's the entire point.

[break][break] "bite down!" jayden directs, and kata lets out a roar of agreement, mouth wide in a CRUNCH as it aims to claim the very fist that's plummetting towards her.

[break][break] jayden's gaze shifts towards the other, something like amusement sparking in his gaze. "are you admitting you're little, delarosa?"

Bryan just stared at him for a few moments genuinely confused "Do I still look little to you?" he said playfully as he flexed his arm and showed off his recently acquired muscles since he had been eating better and working out with priam conrad pretty often. "Ain't nothing about me little." he teased as his slightly spanish accent slipped for a sec. The vileplume gets bitten by haxorus and released a puff of spores that cause a random side effect (you can choose! I already have poison done in a diff thread so pls not that one unless u need it) Bryan then refocused his attention on the battle. "Vileplume! petal dance!" he calls out as a barrage of cherry blossoms erupt from vileplume's body and attack kata.

"hmm." jayden's eyes flicker over to the younger rocket, who flexes his arms at him as if to prove his point. there is something akin to a twinkle in the boy's gaze as he observes him. "are you sure about that?" he teases right back. "you have any evidence to back up that claim, delarosa?"

[break][break] kata coughs violently as the spores explode in front of her. impulsively, the haxorus shoves the other away and puts some distance between the both, but it's too late. the crackle of paralysis lands over her, and she winces at the onslaught of petals that attack her.

Bryan sat down on the floor as his legs were too wobbly to still keep standing, besides not like he had to tell Vileplume to keep going since it was going to be stuck in the dance for a while, and dance she did! A barrage of petals continued to pelt Kata as Vileplume didn't really have a choice in the matter.

jayden laughs, the sound bubbling to his lips. had he drank too much? probably. "true," he said, with a twinkle in his eye. "back then, i could bench you no problem." now - probably - was a different story. not that jayden was particularly small by any means, but he definitely was leaner than he was bulking muscle. bryan delarosa on the other hand was a different story.

[break][break] his eyes shift downward as the other sits onto the floor. jayden isn't sure what possesses him in that instant — slowly, he reaches forward, finding his palm atop the other's forehead. he gives it a good ruffle. "you're still cute, though."

[break][break] with a grimace, kata has no choice but to take in the barrage of petals. she tries, though, to break through the barrier and finally when the paralysis breaks, she stretches her arms out with a roar of defiance. dragon dance pulses around her before she releases a dragon pulse that spirals towards the vileplume.

[attr="class","bryanbody"]"Oh?" Bryan raised an eyebrow, he knew entirely what Jayden had meant by the statement. But when he heard it, despite admitting to himself Jayden was handsome...he thought about priam conrad instead. He began to feel conflicted and when he felt this way he normally just stayed quiet, but instead brushed the man's hand off acting bashful "Oh ya?" he said as he refocused his attention onto the battle and took an extra long swig from his whiskey flask. [break][break]

The dragon pulse breaks through the barrage of petals and sends vileplume flying backwards and rolling to the floor as it struggles to stand back up. "Vileplume. Get back up! I know you can! Use acid on him!" he says as his vileplume becomes redetermined to win this battle. Vileplume unleashes a barrage of poison toxins at the pokemon, however he wondered if the move would even hit, expecting it not to due to the dragon dance.

[break][break] there's a twinkle of something in jayden's eyes as he speaks. yeah, he was definitely drunk — but that was okay. he was allowed to be. especially when his mentee was nearly as wasted as him.

[break][break] as the flare of dragon dance raises around her, the haxorus is faster and stronger than she normally would be. it's why she is able to leap out of the way of the acid with such ease. blinding white light grows in front of her as she charges up her giga impact and then blasts it in her opponent's direction.
