Even Stormy flinches as the COUNTER strikes back with double the force. Rocks, debris, sand, and blue energy are forced backward at the push of the Riolu's palms. Oricorio is caught by a good majority of it, unable to predict every path the rocks might take. Her AGILITY just isn't quite up to snuff.

"Excellent form, Raki." The man praises, even as the Riolu's stance wavers and his breathing comes out in heavy, deep pants.

Raki's abilities were not mature enough to be utilizing Aura in such forceful manner- but truly, his technique had been exceptional. It was just a pity his trainer had not been helping him until now.

"Endure, Raki." The man muttered, lips drawing into a thin line. "And finish this!"

The Riolu loosened its posture and attempted breathing exercises as his opponent hurriedly dodged the many rocks launched her way, before he broke into a sprint towards her, shifting from side to side. He did not have much energy left-!

He needed to end it now!

Raki is going for a Quick Attack!

Oricorio, riding on updrafts from the ocean breeze, pivots in the air. She is still gliding on her improved AGILITY and is, as a result, light as a feather. Riolu is fast, but he is young and slow and exhausted, battered and bruised. [break][break]

At nearly the last second, Oricorio twists to buffet the Riolu out of his advance with another round of AIR SLASHES. It cuts the air, leaving grooves in the sand.

One could only go so far in making up for past mistakes, unfortunately.

The Riolu collapsed onto the floor following the Oricorio's attack, a ray of red light returning him to his pokeball a moment later.

"Well done, Raki... My apologies." He muttered into the pokeball as he pocketed it under his jacket.

He then folded an arm over his chest, and bowed to his opponent once again.

"Thank you for the battle. Though it was a poor showing on my part, I appreciate your earlier words." He said as he held the bow, before straightening his posture, nodding at the woman. "I wish you well in your oncoming battles, Ms. Bromwel."

Stormy whistles following the end of the battle. Her Oricorio settles on her shoulder, puffing out her feathers and setting out to groom herself back into perfection.[break][break]

The woman, however, is busy watching after the man, eyes following him as he bows and apologizes. He wishes her well, and she raises her hand to wave him farewell- but she hesitates with furrowed brows.[break][break]

"... Ms. Bromwel? What?"[break][break]

She glances over her shoulder, bewildered, before making her way out of the arena.
