So, here is Mr. Del Mar, about to participate in a battle royale with three strangers. Two of which are, honestly, totally irrelevant, and a third who looks like he’ll run up to you and pounce if you show him some pretty and shiny thing. Mars doesn’t know why he’s getting that feeling, but he is.

The match begins, and for some reason, both the totally-irrelevant-and-not-at-all-distinguishable participants in this battle command their pokémon to go after this poor guys’ Cloyster. Brutal. What had he done to them? Had he stolen all their shiny things or something?

”You could always take it as a compliment,” the man smirks, amused, but instead of joining in on this or telling his pokémon to help the Cloyster out, he nods towards the Sylveon, who in turn chooses to use DISARMING VOICE on all opponents around him – a painfully high-pitched note overtaking the arena.

after shaking off the pain from the DISARMING VOICE (which doesn't do much because cloyster has no arms), cloyster sends an ICICLE CRASH spiking sylveon's way.

By the time the Cloyster prepares to attack, the Sylveon has put up a LIGHT SCREEN around itself, but of course, this won’t do much when dealing with a physical attack like Icicle Crash. Fuck you, physical attacks.

In which case, perhaps I should be the one who’s offended.” Mars smirks, talking as if the other two trainers are not there and can’t hear him. He doesn’t care if they do, honestly, even if at the time his Sylveon finds himself FLINCHING and being temporarily unable to attack thanks to the icicles.

Mars does no more than raise an eyebrow, wondering if this guy is just mad he’s not the most handsome and hottest one in this battle royale. If so, he can excuse his behaviour – ugliness is definitely something to be angry about.

This time, the icicles hit, but the Sylveon doesn’t flinch. Instead, he counters the oncoming attacks with one of his own, the power of the moon coming crashing down upon his opponents with a MOONBLAST.

Battle Royales? Shitty. Matias? Toxic. When will it all end? No clue because counting is for losers.

Mars’ Sylveon had been playing nice, but the little fox/dog/cat pokémon was getting tired of dealing with all of these attacks. He jumped out of the way, avoiding Irrelevant Pokémon 1 and 2, and once he was at a safe distance, he summoned the sparkling mists of MISTY TERRAIN onto the arena.

the MISTY TERRAIN spreads over the area, clouding it in a beautiful pink mist. it's similar to FERNANDO SILPH and yet different in a way matias can't quite describe.

possibly because it doesn't fill him with an unjustified sense of rage.

’The other two’ is kind of a cold way to put it, and Mars wonders if their two worthless opponents are upset about the fact that they hadn’t even bothered with asking their names. Then again, Mars hadn’t bothered with asking for Matias’ either, since if he had, he would definitely think that out of all the Silphs, Stormy Silph’s the cooler one. Definitely the prettier one.
