“Y’see anything yet, Chuchi?” the blonde asked, a hand on the top of his hat a strong breeze cut past them form the ocean. The waves slapped the shore, the sun beat down, and all he wanted to do was relax. Not Chuchi. When she wasn’t hungry, she was antsy. It had been so long since Andres had let her properly battle. With stakes. That was hard. None of that crappy scrimmage matches for the kids where every move took 10 minute as he and the other instructors explained a strategy play out. No, now she just wanted a good fight. The wild pokemon on this route had no idea what was coming. [break][break]

Andres was perfectly fine with the fat Eevee picking fights. Chuchi could take care of herself and he, for his part, was more than eager to chill on the beach for a few hours. Maybe take a nap, flirt with some babes. The usual beach shenanigans hot blooded young men took part in. But first- the perfect spot. The perfect palm tree with just the amount of shade he needed. Better yet a little cluster would be even better, he thought as he trailed the shore, Chuchi 40 ft in front of him hunting for her prey. His attention is elsewhere before he turned idly and felt a pokeball smack into his face. He let out a yelp, and a loud “Hey?!” before Chuchi bounded out of nowhere, sprinting with all her might to pounce at the stray pokeball like a chew toy. “C-Chuchi drop that!” he demanded as he rubbed his cheek before looking for the source. He frowned for a moment before relaxing a bit. “Uh, you dropped something.” He said as Chuchi smacked the empty pokeball back at the girl’s feet with incredibly force. Her eyes briefly landed on the trainer before turning to search for another target. [break][break]

Chuchi for her part, moved with a speed one would’ve thought impossible for something so fat. She slammed into the little lizard pokemon, barking excitedly as she attempted to tussle. The electric type is trapped as Chuchi wrestled with it while Andres’ attention moved onto the pinkette. “Nena, it’s fine. Just stung.” He said, not really having the energy to berate her. She was too cute for that. “Only a kiss from a pretty girl could make this better haha!” he added as he looked over at Chuchi and the wild pokemon she was currently harassing before back at Luka. “I’m kidding! I’m kidding!...Unless?” he asked with a sly grin before letting out another laugh. He was kidding. [break][break]

He paused in his joking to turn around finally seeing the Slowpoke amble its way by them. A quick glance at Luka and back was enough for him to move out of the way. Though, she seemed all too nervous. “You want that one, right?” he pointed at the Slowpoke before looking back at her. Allowing himself a couple of steps closer to the trainer he continued talking. “Well go on then. Your perfect shot is lining up.” He said as the pink pokemon moved closer and closer to them. For his part, Andres pulled out an empty pokeball of his own. Pressing his tongue to the roof of his mouth he let out a quick, shrill whistle which alerted the Eevee. Chuchi’s ears perked up immediately before bouncing off the electric type. While still dazed, Andres tossed his own pokeball in an arc, smacking the Helioptile on the side of the head. Chuchi didn’t wait to see if Andres had caught it, moving back to the pair of trainers, just a little less antsier than before. [break][break]

Andres snickered politely as the pinkette grew more and more flustered at his advances. He turned his head in an attempt to give her a breather and to also focus on the pokemon. As Andres retrieved his newest catch, Chuchi eyed the other, smaller Eevee with big eyes. “Be nice, Chuchi.” Andres warned as the Eevee helped the stranger take care of the Slowpoke. She snorted at the blonde, shaking her own sandy fur before looking towards the shore as she heard something make a weird peep noise. To her delight, a little Pinurchin moved past them ever so slowly on the wet sand. Her eyes were bright and once again she rushed mouth opening up before clamping down onto one of the electric spikes. [break][break]

The panicked pokemon letso ut bursts of electricity, crackling loudly, but Chuchi’s mouth remainds clamped shut, lifting it by the spin and shaking it like a ragdoll before tossing it towards the sand near her owner. “Oh, hey, good Bite, Chuchi!” Andres encouraged as she padded back to him proudly while he inspected the dizzied and terrified electric type. “They’re cute too, a plus.” He said as he dropped another pokeball onto the Pinurchin before turning back to Luka as she finished her second catch. “Oh congrats!” he exclaimed, clapping a few times for the girl. “I’m Andres by the way. So, you don’t have to think of me as guy-who-I-hit-on-literally.” He said with a small wink. “Nice to meet you~” [break][break]

Andres tried to stifle his laughter, but he rolls with her words regardless. "Don’t worry, I’m use to it. It’s the irresistible good looks.” He said as he ran a hand through his hair, only to knock off his own hat. The blonde let out a small curse in surprise before moving to pick up before a gust of wind took it away. Quickly settling the hat back on his empty head, he looked back at Luka. “Seriously, don’t worry about it. It’s practically numb now.” He added a little more casually. As he did, Chuchi sidled up next to him before planting herself firmly in front of Sugar, sniffing at Luka before sizing up the skinnier Eevee. [break][break]

At the compliment, she’s pulled form her investigating and looked up at Luka with wide eyes brimming with barely containable energy. Her tail wagged behind her quickly as she let out a small bark in acknowledgement before moving her attention back to Sugar. “Hehe, thank you! She was my team’s anchor when I was still doing gym challenges, so you could say she’s tiny but mighty.” And she knew it too. Though, he didn’t say that out loud, not wanting Chuchi to headbutt him in public. Again. “I like your Eevee too…are you a coordinator?” Chuchi at this point was moving in closer to Sugar to interrupt her grooming, before distant splashing drew her attention, and her head snapped towards the sound. [break][break]

She let out a small yip, as if letting Andres know she was moving before practically jumping away form the group and heading straight for a Swampert. The poor dual type is digging a hole in the sand, probably looking for something to eat as Chuchi barreled towards it. She smacked into the Swampert and despite her size managed to force him on his side. As they engage, Andres doesn’t really pay much mind. “I only ask because- ah- she just seems a little reluctant, you know?” He’d caught a little bit of Sugar’s efforts in helping her trainer catch pokemon. It was the opposite of Chuchi, who was now busy trying to stay attached to a Swampert while it flailed violently in an attempt to dislodge the pokemon that was gripping onto it for dear life. She lets out another sound as she let go when tossed into the air before dive bombing the Swampert with another Headbutt and smacking them both into the wet sand. Andres turned to look, reaching for a pokeball in hand. “Good catch Chuchi!! You really want those burgers, huh?” he said as the little Eevee wagged her tail, panting lightly while the Swampert lay in the shore. Andres chucked a pokeball, smacking the poor lad.
