Out of the blue, he heard someone ask to battle. He turned, seeing that the person was asking him. Mav chuckled, snatching a ball from his pocket. “Sure,” he replied, moving to a place to battle, “I got plenty of pokemon to battle with.”

Once in his spot, the man summoned a creature. The krookodile growled, eyes narrowed at the human across the field. “Get yourself ready Ascar,” the burnt scared man told the creature, “as soon as you see your opponent, use sandstorm.”

calling out his kabutops is met with an immediate SANDSTORM from the krookodile. it buffets against kabutops; matias peers through the thick of it, observing.

kabutops starts the battle with a BRINE, spitting it towards the krookodile.

As soon as her opponent appeared, the krookodile roared with life. Wind stared to pick up, creating a sandstorm within seconds. His opponent was unaffected the sandstorm however, sending boiling at water her way. She shielded her face, the burn of the water made her cry out in pain. Maverick rolled his eyes. This tournament made him realized he needed to use more of his other pokemon.

“Use sand tomb!” The dark and ground type roared with life once more. The roar created wisps of sand that surrounding her opponent, turning into a sand vortex within seconds. The creature smirked, glaring at her opponent.

[attr="class","matias"]SAND TOMB surrounds the kabutops, looking to trap the rock-type within its confines, but it doesn't panic; instead, it focuses, and knows that it needs to escape it.

kabutops does so with a swift AQUA JET that propels it all the way into the krookodile, slamming into it.

The sand tomb failed, closing down onto nothing as a stream of water came straight at the croc. “Counter with Aqua tail.”

The krookdile slammed its tail into the ground, water soon surrounded it. And when the aqua jet came in hot, she whipped around to knocked her opponent back. If not used as an attack, it should at least put distance between them.

[attr="class","matias"]AQUA TAIL meets AQUA JET and there's no avoiding the impact. water splashes in a brilliant display as distance is once again created. the kabutops is knocked back, hurt, but manages to land on its feet as it skids across sand.
