Temp yelped when Lulu Flint appeared. It startled him! He even dropped the half of a pokeball he had been messing with on his Umbreon's head.

Lil Lulu raised her head and bared her teeth blearily, chattering before flopping her head back down in Temp's lap.

Still, when he caught his breath, Temp just beamed at the scientist.

"Hi Miss Lulu!"

A small wave. He looked delighted to see her.

"Gavvie? Oh, I haven't got to talk to him in a few days!" Sad times. With the Gym Leader stuff, Temp had been so busy that he hadn't been able to meet up with Cillian Quinn that often. "These guys aren't mine, though! I think they just like the pokeballs... maybe."

He peered at a pokeball curiously.

The ghosts did not want the pokeballs, they wanted the snacks they knew Temp kept in his pocket.

The Porygon, smart, scatter when Lulu Flint orders them. They'll be back. The promise of snacks was too strong.

Temp, meanwhile, looks down at the parts he's been messing with a furrowed brow. As if it's the first time he's actually looked at the in all the time he's been sorting them.

"Why else would they be over here, then?"

Genuine curiosity.

"Uuuuuum...." Another furrowed brow, confusion. If Lulu Flint looked, she would be able to see the monkey with cymbals clashing between his ears. That's about all that was up there right now.

"I'm pretty sure!" The smile came back, voice pleased, as if this was the answer Lulu might want.

"Why would I mess with you, anyway? Look! See!" He picked up his Umbreon under her front a legs, so the back of her body hung limp, showing her off to Lulu. The pokemon gave a large yawn. As if that explained anything.

"This is 'Lil Lulu'! I named her after you!"

It made perfect sense in his mind. Usually she was kind of grumpy and kept his other pokemon in line. It was, like, the perfect name!

Since it seemed like Lulu Flint didn't want to pet her, he lowered her back into his lap and started to scratch her ears, earning a small rumbling chattering. Lil Lulu loved to have her ears scratched.

"Why would I name a pokemon after someone I don't like?"

"Wrong with what?"

Asked, innocent, Temp not putting Lulu Flint's question together with the fox at first. He blinked, then a quick 'Oh!', before he laughed and shook his head.

"Not a thing! She's as healthy as a horsea! Gets brushies and walkies every day, sleeps at the foot of my bed..."

He trailed off, fond, before he gave a perplexed frown.

"Wait, do you think I would name a sick pokemon after you to be mean? Do you think I don't like you?"

"Well, I do like you!" Was what Temp replied with, smiling up at Lulu Flint as he said it. To Temp, it was easy. There were a lot of admirable traits the woman had even if she couldn't see them in herself. Temp liked that part of her.

Gently shooing Lil Lulu off his lap, Temp pushed himself to his feet and have a big stretch. He had been huddled over those boxes for too long and really needed to get all the kinks out.

"Hey, do you need help with anything?" Like an overeager puppy, Temp grinned and put his hands on his hips, determined.

The Rotom had slowly eased back out, not as close as before, but looming precariously around Temp.
