The passage of time was impossible to tell underneath the sea. But night fell upon the Rocket sub. During the wee hours of the day, others had been to see Melody before Madeleine. To offer her support, food, cookies - but eventually, they stopped. [break][break]

Her precious daughter would be alone with her thoughts for hours. Until the sound of heels on the floor echoed down the hallway toward her. [break][break]

Lust and Envy by her side, Madeleine sauntered to the cell door with a hand on her hips. "Melody." she whispered, "Melody, wake up." her voice raised an octave. Reaching a slender finger for the bars that separated Melody from her freedom. She dragged the tip of her nail down its length. [break][break]

"Wake up, you ugly brat." [break][break]

"Mother's been so worried about you."

"Melody. Melody wake up." as some static noise was accompanied by the words. She was awoken by her mom's voice, which was relatively normal, yet the only thing throwing her off was the fact that this was not her bed. She looked up and saw her mother with her pokemon, oh shit! She quickly woke up "Mom!" she said in a hushed voice as she rushed over to the bars of the cell. [break][break]

"Mom oh my god, are you ok?" she asked her extremely worried, theo hadn't really explained that melody's mother was a rocket. She reached instinctively for her hand for comfort.

Indifference reads like a newspaper on Madeleine's face. Off the sub, in the public eye, Melody saw the mother she needed to. The stern but overprotective and loving parent who only wanted the best for her daughter. A facade. Carefully crafted to ensure the money flowed and the spotlight never left. [break][break]

Poor, little thing, she wasn't prepared for the monster underneath the mask.[break][break]

Quickly, Del assessed her property for damage. What she could see of its exposed skin was free of bruises. What about the areas covered by clothes? THEO BECKETT would have left blemishes in visible places, but other Rockets lacked the man's confidence.[break][break]

"I'm fine." dark, red eyes stared at the hand resting overtop her own. Right. It was sensitive, needed to be coddled and coaxed to find strength. [break][break]

Disgusting.[break][break]

She stepped back. The time for coddling was over. It had to be strong, or it wouldn't survive what was to come. [break][break]

All so she could have a brief moment to be herself. And it wanted to ruin things by playing make-believe. [break][break]

A bottom of the barrel thought. No wonder it had gotten caught by its own friend. "There's nothing to knock off." Del clicked her tongue, her arm slipping through the bars of its cell. She beckoned it to come closer with a wiggle of her finger. [break][break]

A disgust filled her eyes, and with that disgust was a sharp pain again. Flashes of scenes she cant make sense of fill her mind, scenes with hypno. Wait..something wasn't right, she began to slowly make sense of it. "You...you ARE tacky. You were in rocket this whole time?" she says as a venom begins to drip from her mouth. [break][break]

She wanted to resist, but for some reason her body moved slowly back over to her mom. She tried to fight it but she couldn't resist, what had she done to her? "What did you do to me?" she said between breathes as they grew ragged. "I cant-I cant stop myself. What did you do?!"

Madeleine allows the outburst. Some part of her reckons it deserves to vent whatever feelings it may have. They'll be no room for it later. [break][break]

"Whatever do you mean?" [break][break][break]

Her voice is soft, but the smile on her face is anything but. Cheshire in size, she licked her lips, the sweet taste of her cherry lipgloss mixed well with the satisfaction of watching the doll squirm. "I've done nothing." Stupid thing. It could fight all it wanted. No matter what, it'd obey her in the end. [break][break]

Years of programming too strong for a weak-willed toy to break. [break][break]

The doll stood before her, frightened and breathing its unbrushed breath into her air. Del clicked her tongue, "Tsk, tsk, tsk." slender fingers cupped the underside of Melody's chin and tilted her head upward. [break][break]

"You can't disobey, mother. You should know that by now."[break][break]

Her thumb ran across the doll's lips. "Do I need to remind you?"

Images flash through her mind, ones that don't make sense yet somehow feel all too familiar. This isn't the first time that Rapunzel managed to escape mother Gothel's grasp. However the sudden flood of emotions and pain was almost unbearable..luckily she had someone to take it out on this time.[break][break]

"L-let me go!" she says struggling hopelessly against the woman's hand. She tried to raise a hand against her to strike her but before Melody's hand would make contact with the woman's body it instinctively stopped. She was trapped in her own body helpless to do anything but obey. "You're sick You're fucking disgusting!" she said hissing venom at her. [break][break]

"I've broken this a million times. When will you finally give up Madeleine? You're age is showing you know and you cant do this forever!" she said using the woman's name on her. This Melody was a total 180 from the girl who the public knew, the other one just a sham, or at leas just a fragment of who she truly was.[break][break]

However Melody knew ONE work around she figured out from the last time, letting the woman turn her gaze upwards Melody spat into the air, not aiming directly at Madeleine but aiming towards the roof. When it obviously missed her target and hit an innocent bystander.

"Let you go?" she purred, fingers gripping tighter the doll's cheek. The raised hand gave little cause for concern. "Try it." and try Melody did, only to be met with bitter failure that tasted sweet like honey on Del's tongue. A shame that the toy ruined the flavor spluttering ichor. [break][break]

"And I've put you back in your place every time. I -" Del cut herself off, narrowing scarlet daggers, anger boiling in her veins. Wet, the loogie landed atop of the woman's red mane. Hand slipping back behind the bar, the woman wiped the spit from her head and smiled. [break][break]

This disrespectful little worm. It knew not what it unleashed upon itself, but it would learn and learn it well.[break][break]

The cell door clicked, unlocked by a keycard stuffed quickly between her breasts. Persian guarded the cell while Del and Liepard strode into the doll's cage. "Sit." she ordered, stalking forward, her arm snapped ahead, fingers tangling into pink, luxuriant locks of hair. [break][break]

"You know nothing, Melody. Thinking you're smart - clever cause you have a moment of clarity. Good. Keep it." crouching, Del would twirl her fingers deeper into Melody's hair, yanking so that her head pointed sideways. "Remember this. Remember all the times I've beaten and broken you. You cannot escape me." [break][break]

Madeleine pulled the doll close and pressed her lips to its ear. Cold, a chilling wind that freezes and saps the life from your bones, she whispered. [break][break]

"You, Melody Miro, are mine. Your mind, body, and soul belong to me. You're a toy, a special one that I chose above all others. Feel honored, feel loved." [break][break]

She stood, hand releasing locks as her foot drew back for a kick. The tip of her heel came down hard and fast at Melody's stomach. [break][break]

"But always remember who made you what you are."

The shot had landed it's mark, however melody was soon going to wish it hadn't. She heard the cell door open, of course she had a key, why wouldn't she? Melody crawled back in fear from her mother as fast as she could but the women had an iron grip on melody's will, she had no choice. She sat down as ordered and was forced to listen to the venom her mother was spitting at her. [break][break]

The worst part of this cycle? Madeleine was right. Melody broke free of the control every time, but madeleine was always going to have a grip on her, melody never managed to escape. Not once. [break][break]

No amount of beatings could replace the pain she felt from those words, they cut deeper than any dagger could because they were her truth. [break][break]

"You may have made me who I am, but you'll never be who you were. No matter how you try to live through me." she shot back at Madeleine, it was disgusting..how much that persona of hers loved her mother and ignored the taunts and obvious disdain for her toy, even referring to Melody as "it". [break][break]

Ironic one of melody's favorite stories as a kid was rapunzel, she had her very own mother Gothel. "So what now? Rocket just keeps me here forever? This just...one big PR stunt?" she asks.
