Earl Grey? He was quite literally made for this. Remiel on the other hand? Well... not so much. But he could most certainly dress well at the very least. Branes, the Slurpuff cook who seemed to be running the operation, seemed pleased when the prince showed up for his shift in such formal attire.[break][break]

Unsurprisingly, having the royal Galarian Ambassador present caused a hubbub amongst the patrons visiting BONE APPETIT! for lunch. A line began forming out onto the streets of the Night Market for a chance at being served by 'his Royal Highness' himself. Quite frankly, it made his job as a waiter a living nightmare as people ogled him and asked for autographs or photos.[break][break]

"Chef, would you mind if I make myself more useful at the espresso bar?" Remiel inquires, receiving nothing but a lolling tongue and a gargle of noise in response from the Slurpuff chef. "... very well. Thank you... good boy." The last line is spoken awkwardly, and he makes haste to depart afterwards.[break][break]

Leaving Earl Grey to tend to the tables in his stead, the royal heads behind a bar and reaches for one of several black aprons upon a coat hanger. He notices another man approaching then and regards the individual with a nod as he places his apron on. "Kazimir Wynter . Lured into this trap of free labor as well?" He lightly jests, tying the knot behind his back firmly.[break]

"yeah they said they needed the help, and when i met the chef well...well i couldn't say no could i? i mean how can you say no to that?" he gestured to the slurpuff that waved at his arrival to welcome him onto the crew. "can't say i'd ever imagine you serving up some lattes yourself mr. calcifet. gotta say you look pretty good in that uniform at least."

kaz himself was in some formal wear himself with some of the pokemon that followed in after him dressed up the same way. "hope ya don't mind i brought a few extra hands chef, don't worry they know their ways around a kitchen...sorta. ain't that right fellas?" the first was a liligant who stepped forward with a sweet scent trailing right behind her covering everything around them in a sweet smelling (and tasting) aroma that breathed some fresher life into the cafe. "looks like someone's already to get started, shall we?"

Okay, so how did a limp noodle boy end up going here?

Simple: Remiel Calcifet was there.

Obviously being the Galarian ambassador really did things to one’s rep, and therefore the place was getting swarmed with curious, eager customers.

Maybe it was a good thing he was already wearing something that looked ridiculously formal all he had to do was sling the apron on as best as he could one-handed (oof) before getting to work—

“Oh, thank hell I brought her along,” he remarked as he gestured to the Vaporeon following him.

A Water Gun here and there, and the kettle done and ready.

As his Pokémon trailed in behind him, the ambassador reached to his belt for a Pokémon of his own. "Since this establishment is run by a Pokémon, it only seems appropriate to summon our own for some help." With a toss of a luxury ball, he summons a shiny Sceptile that appears into the wide corridor behind the bar and gauges its surroundings quickly.[break][break]

"Nagato," Remiel addresses it. "Assess those bags of espresso in the corner for me, would you? I require the finest for this latte. Blonde, smooth, with light oil and notes of toasted nut." With a nod, the reptile's spine shudders before it swiftly turns back to sniff the aforementioned bags of beans. Before long, it picks one up and brings it over to be ground.[break][break]

"hey don't forget to warm up those kettles there buddy! some folks like a little bit of warmth in their drinks y'know!" with that kaz threw out a pokeball that spawned in a fennekin who sat with its tail wagging on the countertop. "hey blairwitch, see those kettles over there? warm them up for me yeah?" with that the fox turned and with a small ember managed to get the pots up to boiling temperature no problem. "yeah that's the way, this should be no problem for hte rest of us right?"

There's a raucous clamor of noise as Remiel grinds the espresso beans. When he's done, Kazimir Wynter has already prepared the kettle with his Fennekin. The espresso bar operates like a well-oiled machine as Pokémon and people alike work in harmony together. After carefully scooping the ground espresso into a portafilter, then packing it with a tamp, he sets it into the espresso machine and places a shot glass beneath it before hitting the button to pour.[break][break]

"I've set the espresso shot to pour, Kazimir. When you've finished handing it out, I might need some assistance with these sandwiches." He adds, wiping his hands clean of espresso with a white rag before striding off towards the cooking area just across.[break][break]

After summoning a Gastrodon next, he uses the creature to assess perfect, cheesy gooeyness in the Scorbunny Sandwiches they prepare.[break][break]

The two dishes were already finished, all that it took was for them to be delivered to the Slurpuff to be sold. Wasting no time, Ruby sent out her Ivysaur. "Let's get going! Hand these off so we can get to work."[break][break]

"ok so we're looking at shaved ice this time, hm...oh!" taking out his pokeball he let out his trusty steed, a glastrier who took up nearly half the kitchen in size alone. "ah...that outta be...ok. hey glasty, think you can help us out here? we need some ice. in here!" holding up a bucket to the horse it took a glance at kazimir then at the before firing off an ice beam at the bucket filling it with ice that kaz would soon chip away at in order to make the ice crystals they needed for their shaved ice.

as he was busy picking away his movements knocked a pokeball out of his belt that opened up and let out a happiny who seemed excited and interested in what they were doing. "oh shoot! uh hey um...oh happiny why don't ya give us some good luck yeah?" kaz said as he reached around for something for the happiny to do before grabbing the bowl that they had planned to use for the shaved ice and handed it to the pink pokemon who adorned it with sweet kisses all around, adding some cute decoration to it. kaz did feel a bit bad about that, he was a bit too focused on completing their order to really think about what roles his pokemon could play if they wanted to help.

Remiel welcomed Ruby Walker with a wave, pleased to see the clever youth after such a long hiatus. How long had it been since that interview at the Rustboro job fair with Selena Desmarais? Alas, seeing Alexei Ivanov hobbling between them took his attention away from the thought.[break][break]

"Are you certain you can keep up with these orders, Alexei? If you need a break just let us know." He says, joining Kazimir Wynter at the shaved ice station. Summoning an Arctovish next, Remiel grabs a bucket of his own before aiming its hollow end at the floating prehistoric abomination. "I find a good POWDER SNOW provides a better texture for the intended delicacy."[break][break]

“Look, Remy, if I don’t move around I’m gonna get slack. And I don’t like being bossed around by doctors who don’t know what the hell they’re saying,” he remarked as he recalled the Vaporeon and looked at the recipe cards that were out this time.

“Besides, moving around and being active actually helps me recover much quicker. Which is way better than—than staying in a hospital,” he continued as this time, his Decidueye took to the stage.

Seeing that there was a salad that needed chopping, shredding and assembling, he then directed the Decidueye to use its Leafage to cut the greens to a uniform length and width.

As the order was a caprese salad, once the Decidueye was done slicing and shredding, he then rested his weight on his left foot and began to assemble the salad just so.

“Ah, there we go. I think it’s still missing something?” he remarked as he looked at the salads that were slowly but surely coming together.

A razor-thin, amused smile spreads across Remiel's countenance as he carefully pours blue raspberry syrup onto the shaved ice. "Very well, Alexei. I suppose even medically trained professionals get it wrong sometimes." He finishes decorating the Swablu Shaved Ice before sending it out. Then, when he turns to see Alexei at the salad bar, the prince strides forward to offer his services.[break][break]

"You just need a bit more... decoration, is all." He answers, summoning a happy-go-lucky Carbink that rushes to present itself to its master. "SHARPEN, Gelebor. Then break off a piece of crystal I may use for the purposes of this craft."[break][break]

The Carbink does as its told, and Remiel claims the bounty before he sets off to carefully carving Eiscue out of black olives and cheese. When he's done, he presents the finished dish to the others with a short bow and a seemingly unenthusiastic: "Lunch is served."[break][break]

She wasn't the best chef, but really all that was needed was just to follow the recipes, right? Or at least, she hoped that is all it would take. If there was any original talent requiring to be involved, there wouldn't be much to be found. [break][break]

However, she found herself listening to Remiel Calcifet and Alexei Ivanov as they talked. Doctors? Recovering quicker? What had this man got up to this time? Her head would turn, eyes narrowing as she looked at him. Her affinity for medical knowledge certainly wouldn't be unknown to him, not after this long anyways. She wouldn't say anything, only making it obvious that she was judging him, quite harshly at that, shaking her head slowly with only the faintest smile on her face. She'd keep an eye on him for sure. [break][break]

Still, they were here on a job. Sending out Opal, her Aurorus joined the prehistoric Arctovish, standing nearby. "Finishing touch Opal, let's do this. Aurora Beam, shine bright." [break][break]

Sure enough, her fins would begin to glow with rainbow light as a light beam of rainbow-colored frost would lightly cover the top of the Swablu Shaved Ice. Grabbing the two dishes, Ruby quickly ran to deliver them!

"you think these recipes are weird wait till you see some over from galar. what do you think people make when they mix slowpoke tail and the bud of a bulbasaur. and yes i mean the whole bud." kaz answered Alexei Ivanov even if it wasn't a question directed at anyone. he was just really into cooking today as he managed to rope in some pokemon to help cut up some veggies for today's order. his mienshao busy cutting up lettuce with its fury swipes making sure to mince every centimeter of the leafy green while his obstagoon was busy honing his claws to cut up some onions despite the tears in his eyes.

kazimir was busy making sure the fries to go on the side were nice and cooked but in an effort to save on time..."hey heat this up for me!" he asked his charizard who stood next to him and let out a weak flamethrower to bake the fries he had prepared in a fraction of the time putting them in a fryer would take. "ah yeah! that's gotta be more healthy than putting them in some oil right? right...?"

don't worry, he knew what he was doing.
