Okay, a Combee?

Looks like having the armada around was starting to come in handy, after all!

“Wait here,” he said as he limped out of the kitchen and returned with a Combee. Not just any normal Combee, mind you—a shiny Combee.

Which meant that this was supposed to be top-notch!

And bless the ~~rains~~ heavens she had Honey Gather for an ability. So it was easy to get the gooey, sticky, sweet honey needed as a side for the Combee Waffle orders that were coming in.

Their creative, albeit demanding, Slurpuff chef had more additions to his ever-expanding menu. This time, he placed the royal prince in charge of the Eevee Pancake station. Remiel wasn't sure what about him screamed 'pancake expert' but he was confident he could do a good job regardless. So, summoning four different Pokémon, he got to work.[break][break]

Cooking on countless pans and an army of stovetops, Zasa the Starmie (FLIP TURN) and Clint the Inteleon (U-TURN) were in charge of flipping the pancakes to make each side a rich, golden brown. This involved a chaotic back and forth between the two, of course, switching between stoves as Zlato the shiny Poipole lent a HELPING HAND in mixing the batter with Remiel. At the end of the process, Matra the Nidorina helped ferry the pancake orders out to the people, carrying a wide tray on her back with a charming attitude (FLATTER).[break][break]

"Alexei," Remiel called out, tossing out another two luxury balls to summon a Hawlucha and Greedent. "Have these two help you out with those waffles. Order them as you see fit."[break][break]

Thankfully, the two Pokémon had been trained to make themselves useful in almost any situation. For one, the Hawlucha would help squash the batter into perfect little waffle patties ready to be cooked (FLYING PRESS). Meanwhile, the Greedent helped collect all manner of fruits and jams before ferrying them over to Alexei Ivanov to decorate the finished waffles (STUFF CHEEKS). Occasionally, it feasted on some itself, however.[break][break]

While Remiel took charge of mostly everything in the kitchen, Alexei ushered the Combee out—only to return with a teeny-tiny Ribombee riding on his shoulder.

It was a thankful thing he had Carina.

Otherwise, where the hell would they find someone else that had a Pokémon that knew Pollen Puff (and abused it to all hell)?

“Carina, this one’s all you. Oh, and please try not to make the purple ones! We need the yellow ones, okay?” he chuckled, before said Ribombee sassed him and made a face.

While the Ribombee Cake was coming together, he watched as Carina took over a portion of the table and began to spin one yellow-colored Pollen Puff after another, eventually creating a pile that would be decorated on the cake when they were done.

Brionne Soda? Funny enough, Remiel had some experience with crafting soda. When he was younger, there had been a soda-making craze in Hammerlocke. Even his father had partaken in it. This, of course, helped him select the perfect Pokemon to assist in the endeavor.[break][break]

But first? Some music. Summoning Seraphina the Blissey, she began the process with a joyful song (SING) as Remiel summoned Sarisse the Lopunny next to BOUNCE around as his assistant. In order to craft the perfect combination of carbonated water and sweet syrup, however, they needed some Water-type Pokemon to help assist in the chemistry.[break][break]

His Frogadier and Empoleon proved to be invaluable with their bubbles (BUBBLE) and beams (BUBBLEBEAM), adding just the right amount of fizz to the sugary drink before Remiel and Sarisse began pouring out glasses and ferrying them out to customers.[break][break]

Upon returning, however, the royal saw Alexei Ivanov and Ruby Walker scrambling to prepare the orders of Ribombee Cake. Realizing this was a much more difficult order to take upon than the Brionne Soda, he stepped in with two luxury balls to assist, summoning a shiny Claydol and a Hatterene. ”Hammurabi. Aethelwyne. Assist with the decoration.” Moments later, the Claydol was carefully levitating and squeezing frosting tubes above the cake (PSYCHIC) while the Hatterene covered each cake in delicious, sugar sprinkles (MAGIC POWDER).[break][break]

well it was time once again to head on out and deliver some dishes to customers. this time kazimir was blazing through the whole place as if he was on roller skates, giving everyone a smile as he handed out their food. "and for you and for you and for yo-oh sorry that's gonna take an extra minute in the kitchen. i'll go speak with the chef about it." customers sure were hungry at this time of the day. not surprising as some probably were getting off of work and needed to refuel after a long day.

The commissioner was out there? Boy, who wasn't coming to this little stall on the middle of the beach? It certainly was impressive, but what was more impressive was attempting to bake a full-on cake with what they had. "The... recipe seems a bit complex." [break][break]

Sure enough, she needed a better cook in the kitchen than herself. Someone smarter, more capable with reading recipes... And that was when the bright idea came along to summon her Oranguru. Groove stood at attention, fan resting at his side. "Hey bud, can you uh, help make sure this gets followed? I'm getting a little light-headed trying to read all the instructions."[break][break]

Groove took charge almost right away, in fact, he practically took charge of the kitchen. Using his incredible smarts, as well as his psychic talents to Instruct the rest of the Pokemon in there on how to prepare the cake, and ship it out. Hopefully, Remiel Calcifet wouldn't mind having his pokemon controlled for a little bit by the confident ape.

Helping out with the previous orders (as the wait staff crew were slowing down) Alexei then returned to the kitchen balancing a stack of empty plates on his left hand.

“Hey—I overheard something from some of the people outside,” he remarked upon his return. “Something about the Litleonid Meteor Shower show down at Mossdeep, or some such.”

He also had the paper for the next order. Reading it idly, he could only do so much at this point.

“Really?” he said as he exited the kitchen for a bit—only to return with a Typhlosion.

How the hell was this going to work? That was a lot of fire.

“Homura, make it hot, please.”

The Typhlosion then proceeded to use a controlled measure of Lava Plume to prepare the ingredients needed for the Furret Latte.

"anyone hear about this thing going on at mossdeep next month or something? i hear there's supposed to be this big meteor shower happening. anyone thinking about going?" kaz always did enjoy a bit of stargazing whenever he went out into the wilds during hunting trips or late night hikes so something like this was right up his alley. he wondered if he should ask anyone to come with him so they could enjoy the festivities. although..."or was it some kind of fancy party? kinda forgot the details." he mulled over to himself out loud as he was busy preparing the next dish with his fellow poke-chefs.

Mossdeep party? Meteor Shower? Ruby honestly had no idea what anyone was talking about. She simply gave the others a small shrug, confused yet curious. Regardless, right now the orders took precedence over idle chatter. Considering she couldn't assist with the next dish, Ruby slipped out of the kitchen to grab a few dishes from the customers.[break][break]

Sure enough, she came back inside with a huge pile of dishes in her arms. Almost taller than she was, carefully balanced. "I... should not have tried to do this all at once." And yet, she barely managed to lay them all down in the sink. Although, she swore she heard a dish crack. "... Yikes. Never again."

Back to the espresso machine. This time, they were concocting a brew of espresso and milk called the Furret Latte. After pouring shots and milk in cups together, Remiel summoned his Huntail to stir them all simultaneously (WHIRLPOOL). Afterwards, he summoned his ultimate taste-tester, his Cradily, to try a cup. It swallowed it down in one gulp (SWALLOW), paused for a few moments… then swung its head around happily. Success.[break][break]

Agnes the shiny Gardevoir had been watching the entire process from the sidelines this whole time, careful studying each step they had taken (TRACE) so that she could take over as Remiel moved on to the next station: the kitchen where the Snorlax Loco Moco dishes would be prepared.[break][break]

Unlike the previous lattes, which he had done in conjunction with Alexei Ivanov’s Typhlosion, Remiel was entirely in charge of the Snorlax Loco Moco’s in the kitchen. First, he summoned a Spinda. Though it seemed to be perpetually struggling to maintain its balance on unsteady feet, it somehow managed to add a certain punch (DIZZY PUNCH) to the meat it helped cook.[break][break]

Meanwhile, an Alolan Exeggutor that had to be summoned outside in the patio area helped BARRAGE the kitchen afar with the onions needed to be chopped and mixed in. Remiel’s Drifloon was the final piece of the puzzle as it drifted about this very kitchen, ensuring each patty was cooked to perfection before being placed on the bed of rice and egg prepared by the royal prince. An Alolan speciality; mwah.[break][break]

Who knew that these fucking buggers would come in handy?!

He had to—go through several older threads on that trading BBS he was a member of, and eventually he was able to secure, out of all things, a damned-ass Pyukumuku for them to use.

This last order was apparently very complicated and required extremely specific ingredients, so Alexei hobbled out of the kitchen and returned sometime later with said Pyukumuku.

“These things go for fucking premium last I asked,” he grumbled, setting the Pukumuku down on the kitchen counter and helping to cobble the Sylveon Custard Slice together.

One thing led to another, and the Pyukumuku helped to Purify the ingredients to be used and thrown together.

he was going to have to thank Zac Ramsay a thousand times over for providing him with his weezing. why this dish needed the help of a poison type pokemon he wasn't going to even consider asking but its neutralizing gas sure did add a bit of a sweet aroma to it all things considered. to top it all off his own blissey was busy being the resident healer of his team to steady the dish even more with her delicate hands and make sure that all the ingredients that were going into the dish were nice and clean and clear of any kind of bacteria. seriously those ingredients from before sure did not look like they were ripe at all. they were still good but if they hadn't used them today then they for sure might have gone bad tomorrow. well at least the customers won't be able to tell anything is off thanks to their hard work.

Sylveon Custard. What a delicious treat, an absolute delicacy. Ruby couldn't help but smile at the mere thought of it, how it must taste so wonderfully. Luckily, this was something she actually knew how to make! Ruby whipped out several of her Pokeballs, taking command of the kitchen herself for once. [break][break]

As she turned around to talk to her Oranguru, it quickly began to use Trick Room, its strange properties helping the slow process of cooking the mixture actually speed up a considerable amount. However, with her back turned, her Galarian Slowking Prince decided it needed a bit of something special. Mixing in its own Curious Medicine, it quickly slipped off to the side with a soft smirk on its face. [break][break]

"Alright!" Ruby shouted out, grabbing the finished custard slice and preparing it to serve. "Last meal of the lunch hour, completed!" Sure enough, in her excitement, Isabelle the Chimecho began to ring its Heal Bell, signifying the changing of the shifts, and giving life and energy to the dishes, as well as the worn-out chefs who had worked so hard.
