perhaps kyle was getting bored of the job. he wasn't the hardworking type anyways and a little reprieve from doing actual work was appreciated. he spaces out, watching chaos in the kitchen, when he wakes up from his daze from kat's question.

"i was just trying to think where the port would be," was his excuse. he takes the food, as well as a complimentary glass of water to test his theory, and walks off.

"it'll be discrete so i'll tell you when i get back."

from the kitchen, he walks all the way to the suspected table. if there was an imposter among us, it's this person for talking weird.

kyle comes back shortly after. he leaves his leafeon on the table to mop up the floors since grass-types suck water or something. with a clever usage of leaf blade, the rag was using to clean the floor is now divided to four-- one for each foot.

"i missed and only got his shoe. he was not a robot, i think."

he actually pussied out and only went for a milder approach. as much as he can already survive with the kind of savings he gets from both the championship and aqua, he didn't want to get fired from this gig. dahlia will most likely scold him if he did.

"anyways, here's the next order."

shrugging, he dictates the order for the next customer for the kitchen staff to do their work.

The next order proves to be a tad more difficult than the previous ones. Katherine has to enlist the help of not one, not two, and not even three of her pokemon - but four.

Swoobat, Togekiss, Blissey, and Heatran crowd the kitchen and make it impossible for anyone to move within the room for a couple of minutes as they work on the next order together. The KLUTZY attitude of the Swoobat is mitigated by the Togekiss’ HUSTLE, as the two cook together the egg bomb provided by Blissey.

Heatran tackles the fire, maintaining the heat with a fire spin.

“Just his shoe? What? I thought you never miss, Kyle.”

She expresses her disappointment with a quick shake of her head before ringing the bell for the part champion part waiter, announcing that another order was completed.

GOOD THINGS COME IN THREE. So does the TRIPLE KICK used to toss the loaves of bread across the kitchen. A polishing SLAM of the last slice builds the sandwich at last. It’s a bit much, by all means of the phrase, but that’s the bite behind the meal.

The clamoring of so many Pokemon is what draws their guests attention. Rare peeks of the kitchen from the doors being swung open keep them vested despite the wait times.

it was time to start on the next order. SCEPTILE WOULD BEGIN BY USING FALSE SWIPE. a sceptile's precise slice was very important in order to create the YAMPER PASTA to perfection. SNORLAX WOULD THEN FLING one ingredient after another into his own mouth. secretly eating when he knew that he wasn't suppose to.

Several bags of noodles are juggled to keep them out of reach before each one is tossed in Katherine Fairburne’s direction.

despite that, her work continues as planned. her team of pokemon, a pair of ghosts and one peculiar bird, dance and sing in unison inside the kitchen. through a myriad of moves used: will o wisp, trick-or-treat, and a final double slap... the trio aids in constructing the two orders her team had just received.

kyle was just getting his politoed sterilize what needs to be sterilizing with scald since hoenn people are always messy and dirty when he goes to the kitchen to retrieve the dish.

"the crowd's starting to form, by the way. you know, just a heads up that we'll be a bit busy for a while."

with that, he takes off to ferry the dishes to the customer.

kyle was just letting his growlithe prepare some coffee with a controlled heat wave when an influx of people reach the door. the poochyena before him becomes rattled with the sudden number of customers.

kyle returns to the kitchen with a list of orders. thankfully, they all just ordered the same thing so kitchen staff doesn't have to prepare much.

"three orders of eevee latte, five of eiscue caprese salad, two of miltank mix au lait... you know what?"

he sticks the piece of paper that contains all orders by the window where the division between the kitchen and the rest of the restaurant was.

Fernando calls out his operations in accordance to which Pokemon man his stations. They’re not synchronized in the least but the way they operate keeps the food flowing. Like a conveyer belt, platters are shuffled down the line as each Pokemon plays their part.

A duet of SWORDS DANCE, CUT, and QUIVER DANCE stirs up the LIFE DEW and MILK DRINK until it gets nice and foamy. From there, a few well placed AIR SLASHES mix in enough air to make the drink thicker than anyone in the kitchen. Glasses are poured and the concoction takes it sweet time in dripping.

froslass is quick to expand its aurora veil, whereas the shiny lilligant spreads its aromatherapy through a verdant petal dance. lastly, heatran returns with a flash of fire, announcing its arrival. it seemed proud to just stand there, really.
