This time he doesn’t look up from his cooking. There’s too many cooks in the kitchen. The excess of Pokemon makes maneuvering difficult so he starts to verbally instruct him. Delegating them proves simple enough as long as they listen. It also suits him better.

“Did you pull an all-nighter, Lopez?”

That’s the only excuse he can surmise for the Champion considering the time of day. Anything else would just be lazy. Then again, it’s Lopez he’s talking to.

“Jabami! Fairburne!”

Fernando shouts for the front of house as more dishes pile up. His Porygon TRACES the last patterns into the Tea Latte before it’s placed onto the serving tray. Despite his Heatran’s LAVA PLUME, the roast coffee remains thick and solid, the coarse effects of being spat back out after his Lanturn SWALLOWS the remainder of its gurgle.

“Food’s up!”

Each fried egg is the perfect blend of light yellow. Several BARRAGES mixed with a soft DIZZY PUNCH causes the yolk to blend while still shelled. Perfection personified, as Fernando has the instructional video still playing in the background.

For the last order, it appears that all of Katherine's pokemon opt to rest rather than involve themselves in the meticulous work that SYLVEON CUSTARD SLICE dish demanded. Much like their trainer, they leave this portion for Fernando (and perhaps kyle lopez too) to handle. Katherine tends to the last few customers before the strange, blond man who happened to own the stall arrives and ushers everyone to leave.

all-nighters were a common thing for him during releases of new games. he's well accustomed to it, but he still suffers from the consequences. at the very least, he doesn't blame anyone for them.

"oop, looks like time's up." he hangs the apron he barely used and recalls all pokemon.

when katherine talks to him, he gives her an appropriate response. "i guess i'll sign you up since you requested it." he won't sign his name up though. working was the worst.

WITH EVERYONE OUT OF THE KITCHEN, Fernando gets to work his real magic. He points out for his Porygon specifically to distort the kitchen into a TRICK ROOM. Slow and steady precision becomes noticeably faster as he concocts the most difficult dish on the menu.

“Take care,” he shouts as his companion leave for the shift change.

Back in the kitchen, a Slowking mulls over its CURIOUS MEDICINE. Even after applying Wheezing’s NETRUALIZING GAS, the liquid looks rancid with a vile purple tint.

“And a one, and a two,” Fernando trails off, eyeballing each Pokemon in quick succession.

HEAL BELL, PURIFY, and HEALER end up cleansing the liquid into something digestible. It changes from purple to a thick, creamy yellow, almost custard like as Fernando cautions a taste.

“Mmm,” he gauges, letting the Slowking lick the rest off his finger. Naturally, the Queen approves, pleased by the taste.

“And that’ll do it.”

With that the final dish is served.

“It wasn’t much!”
