“Yeah, I wouldn’t mind a break when this is all done.” But sure enough, just as he said that, another order was made, this time for a Bouncy Brionne Soda and a Ribombee Chocolate Cake. For this one, his Gardevoir had to step in the kitchen for a moment, soon met by his Ribombee, Oranguru, Hatterene, and Wigglytuff. Fortunately, his Beheeyem wasn’t too far away, taking over Telepathy duties for a moment.

As his Gardevoir Psychically organized the ingredients (his Ribombee helpfully providing Pollen Puffs), his Hatterene spread her Magic Powder over them to give them that perfect flavoring. It was difficult timing getting it all together, but the Oranguru was able to guide everyone along via her Instructions.

All the while, the Igglybuff provided some music with his Singing.

"Good idea! The holes ain't good for maintaining the heat!" Doug said to Cardamom as he leapt onto his Rapidash, which immediately leapt up in the air with bounce to do... Something.

Meanwhile, his Poliwag assisted Cardamom's pokemon with its cute little bubbles.

The end was almost in view. To everyone with functioning eyes, anyways. To Hideo, there were just more orders pulling him from table to table. “Elga, table one wants a Furret Roasted Tea Latte and a Snorlax Loco Moco,” was all he could say before a table asked him for crayons to draw with, and another table asking for another set of silverware because their Muk ate what they already had.

Hideo’s Piplup made a tiny Whirlpool to mix the ingredients for the Latte, his Gardevoir Trace-ing his abilities to aid him. And just as the chefs finished preparing it, Hideo’s Swalot Swallowed it.

…

…

Thankfully, he spit it back out, the drink near-completed. Crazy what the cooking process was for these dishes were, huh?

Meanwhile, with the Loco Moco, Hideo’s Alolan Exeggutor could only peek her head into the kitchen, but that was enough to Barrage some ingredients in, which his Crabominable was ready to Dizzy Punch into the Loco Moco.

Cardamom was already pulling out a decorating bag as the other Pokemon finished up the main body of the dishes. Hurrying forward, he quickly started squeezing out a pattern on the Furret latte, using his other hand at the same time to draw out a face on the Snorlax Loco Moco. "Decorations done!" he called out as he finished, spinning the decorating bags and sliding them back into their holders like two pistols.

It was over. Their last customer had left, their closing time having arrived. Hideo wiped the sweat from his brow, and he got a sense of approval - no doubt from his Beheeyem. “Thank goodness that’s it,” Hideo said, ready to take a seat.

Yet the law of drama prevented him from settling down; an odd man emerged from the kitchen, attended to by the Slurpuff helping them run this place. That latter part was the main reason why Hideo didn’t assume this guy was some kind of burglar. Also, the fact he referred to the Slurpuff as his “partner”.

Yet before they could get more thanks, the man sounded like he was in pain. Hideo gave the man the seat he was about to take for himself - and received a list of ingredients. “Alright. You got that all down, Elga?” Hideo asked, just to make sure.

Fortunately, Elga immediately disseminated the instructions to the other members of their group. And fortunately, Hideo had just the Pokemon for (some of) this order.

His Oranguru set the room up, the Trick Room providing the perfect environment for this dish. The Pyukumuku he borrowed Purify-ed the ingredients while the Weezing he borrowed set to Neutralizing Gases that might ruin the dish. His Hatterene oversaw their work, keeping to her capabilities as a Healer in case anyone got sick during the process.

With the place clearing out, the gimped Galarian limped over to the nearest table to flop into a chair. He was beat for someone who did almost nothing today. Being injured was a real pain in the... well, everywhere. Antique wandered up to give him look of sympathy. Bending down with some effort, he patted the pokemon's shell.

Cardamom offered the apparent owner of the cafe a quick, cheerful wave. "You've got a good, loyal little Pokemon here," he commented, giving the Slurpuff an appreciative pat. "Don't worry, we'll have your order done in no time! You just sit and rest!" He did look a little tired, after all. Cardamom himself was probably going to sleep for half a day after he got done with the final decorations for this last dish.
