It’s not a bad thing. At least not to Mars. Because he has much to give to those he cares for, and because he too can be equally greedy when he wants to be. Hell, he can be even greedier…

Cian has never asked for more than what Mars is willing to give, but sometimes it does make him wonder if maybe he’s trying to test those limits.

Like that. That right there is a lot to ask for, and he’s sure Cian is well aware of that.

So, for a moment, Mars just stares at him without saying anything.

It could easily be taken as a joke. He could laugh and tell him that’s impossible but that he’ll make it up to him in some other amazing way. But, is it really impossible? Would Mars choose work over Cian? What’s the point of being CEO if he can’t selfishly have his way from time to time? In this case, as it often seems to happen, their interests align.

but then again, cian's never really worked a day in his life.

For a long time, his job had meant everything to Mars. It had been a good distraction from all the pain and grief that came with his reasons to leave Sinnoh, and he had used it in order to push towards all those difficult and distant goals he has.

His job is still these things, and it’s still much else, but as Mars comes to realize at moments like this one, it’s not everything.

When had it stopped being everything? When had Cian become more important than all the plans Mars had been making for years now?

No, he isn’t more important, it’s just that Mars also knows to cherish moments like these…

It’s that he wants to be with Cian.

It’s that it makes him happy.

He even grins.

but as much as he wants his reasoning for doing what he did to be just because of mars, he knows it isn't. a part of him is just looking for a distraction.

If there’s anyone in the world who would understand wanting an escape, that’s Mars, but for now, this is just meant to become another entry in the list of things that are left to be said between them.

There’s a light chuckle when the chair tilts back, but it soon fades into kisses just as hungry and passionate as last one.

A hand rests on the back of the chair, the other reaching for his tie pin and swiftly but carefully removing it before placing it on the desk. He moves on to undo an elegant tie, this time hurriedly and without any care for wrinkling it when he does as much.

”Have I ever told you I hate wearing suits?” He smirks, because he sure does, even if he looks damn good when doing as much.

And without bothering to wait for a response, he reaches for Cian’s shirt, because Mars is impatient, and he sure is glad that only one of them has to dress formally everyday.

While all this happens, the Persian feasts on what remains of their lunch, his presence having been forgotten of by his owner.

but it's just so hard not to, especially when he hears the gentle whisper by his ear.

briefly, his eyes trail off to the large windows behind the desk, though he remains unbothered. if anything, he quite likes the view.

returning the kiss, he whispers:
