but in his defense, he doesn't remember hitting his head, which should be telling enough as to how hard he had hit it.

he chuckles, leaning forward to pinch mars' cheek.

"how cute."

at mars' question, he pauses a little, because as much as he wants mars to go get checked up, he also wants him to stay right here with him.

with a sigh, he nods.

"i'll be fine. not much i can do anyway."

He smirks and he moves closer; ever careful when doing as much and just enough to kiss Cian’s cheek.

These are the words with which he leaves Cian, and as it should probably be expected, they come with one of those smiles that are so full of that unwavering confidence Mars has.

Will it be fine though?

He got lucky this time.
[break][break]
A simple yet tediously long examination reveals no more than a small fracture, and with this revelation come a few things Mars already expected out of mere experience: pain relief, and the recommendation to restrict physical activities for over a month.

The former, he’s thankful for; the latter, not so much.
[break][break]
There’s also a short conversation about the signs of past injuries, but that's a part he won’t tell Cian about when he returns to his side…

It's of no significance, and there have been too many revelations for one exhausting night.
