the pout lingers, at least until cian leans in real close, whispering into mars' ear:

Truly, Cian can count himself lucky to have such a wonderful, amazing, patient, tolerant, understanding, easygoing, and all-around absolutely perfect boyfriend, because it’s not just anyone who would let him get away with this bullshit. If anything, it may just be the greatest example of how much Mars loves him.

alas, the moment passes as he's pulled into a kiss he easily returns before he can say anything more.
