damn, now his mouth's watering, too. he swallows, turning his attention to something else besides food.

thankfully, an unown appears! but he leaves it to kyle while he goes to pet the friendly litleo instead.

"hey there, bud."

virizion walks over, joining them as she raises her foot to pat its head. it looks awkward considering her height and build, but it works.

in the end, they end up befriending the litleo.

the talk reminds him of high school days where he'd hang out with friends and just eat junk food without regards to calories and nutritional value.

"we can get fries along with it," he suggests. "maybe milkshakes too?"

his eyes shift as he sees an unown float by. he quickly turns to his terrakion, who then turns to the unown. it's not doing anything on its own, but the resurgence of their numbers was enough for it to be a subject of concern for the sword of justice.

it throws a rock at the unown for a smack down, knocking it to the ground. kyle quickly follows up with a capture.

"do you want an unown?" he asks matias.

matias never got a chance to live out the typical high school days where one would just sit around and eat junk food and chill. it sounds like a nice fantasy, and even if only for a moment, he's excited to get to experience something similar with kyle.

except they'll be planting trees instead of playing games.

"oh. no, i'm good, but let me take a quick picture of it."

he pulls out his phone and snaps a pic, then sends it along to the unown report.

"have you heard about this, by the way?"

he shows his phone to kyle.

meanwhile, virizon swiftly handles the starly, befriending it with another berry that she plucked off a nearby tree instead of attacking it. such a peaceful creature.

the unown report?

"y-yeah." he supposed that wasn't really special in any way. "i guess you got one too from that one time with the thing, right?"

the terrakion also did what the virizion did to the xatu, except it was much more hostile than the starly. after all, its sister just went missing after the silph captured it.

as it attempts to strike, the terrakion gets a decisive attack first. he shoots a rock that smacks down the bird from the sky into the ground. as it lands, kyle's attention goes to it.

throwing a pokeball for a capture was an automatic response to fainted pokemon at this point.

his phone's locked and slid back into his pocket. he remembers most of the unown words, though none of them come to mind at the moment.

this time, virizion's LEAF BLADE is DETECTED, and the unfezant GROWLS in response. it doesn't attack, however, which just leaves it vulnerable to the second LEAF BLADE which takes out one of its wings. it falls right into a pokeball.

matias captures an uzifanty, which is convenient with kyle's post being late enough to get the prompt for the bingo.

"to be honest, same." he can probably ask someone in league's intel department to try and dissect the machine for information, but he figured someone else would do it and he'd just leech off of their information. "wait, what about ferny? you think he knows?"

he did get it at the same time as kyle did.

this time, terrakion's smack down is charmed, and the deerling charms it again in response. it doesn't attack, however, which just leaves it vulnerable to the second smack down which takes out one of its legs. it falls right into a pokeball.

but Yui Fujin Silph doesn't have access to the device because she didn't participate in the cook-off. or at least that's what matias remembers. could be wrong, though.

this time, matias doesn't bother with the wild pokemon that show up. he has both species already, so he pretends to be nice and gestures to them.

kyle was given two choices.

one of them was a monkey that he already has two of, one of which was encountered earlier. the other was something that could be used for horse riding. he already has a ghost horse, but a giraffe horse would probably be fine too.

the oranguru gets away first, since monkeys have better iq than giraffes, leaving kyle with no other option.

"guess i'm taking the giraffe then."

the girafarig looks at the terrakion funny, and the terrakion gets offended. the terrakion launches another smackdown at the girafarig that knocks it on its back before it can even react. it tries to stand up after the attack, but kyle throws a pokeball at it even before it can attempt to.

"yui who?" kyle asks afterwards. it's the first time he's hearing about this silph.

a wild kecleaon appears and sticks its tongue out at them. is it taunting them? or is it hungry? either way, virizion sees it as a challenge and is quick to close the distance only to be caught out by its SUCKER PUNCH.

she recoils, but soon slashes her SACRED SWORD and ends the battle not long after it starts.

a pokeball is thrown at it, capturing the COLOR CHANGING pokemon.

there's a lot of silphs he has heard of, a lot that's been on the region and has been face to face with him, and probably a lot more overseas. the title of fernando's little sister means nothing at this point.

while kyle ponders on the idea of another silph sibling, another fighting-type goes to terrakion to challenge it to a fight. it tries to go in with a reversal, only for the behemoth to tank the hit directly.

the terrakion counters with a stone edge that knocks it out cleanly with blunt force afterwards. kyle notices it and chucks a pokeball at the fainted medicham.
