”it’s a shame.” ecstacy. she remembered it as warm persuasion. ”ah.” after a long moment, she sat straighter again. fowl thought herself to be a cat, but what did it mean to be a cat in a lawless alleyway filled with other cats? claws came out of nowhere, if one wasn’t vigilantly looking for them. hopefully hers were sharper. ”well. it sounds like you’ve got it handled, hm?” she smiled, and her hand went to fish in her pocket for a card. on it was a string of vague contact information, without a name. ”as you said, you don’t have much time. i’m actually a very busy person, myself. so, i’ll leave you this. if you ever have a change of heart, or find yourself curious about something, do get in touch.” with that, she left enough on the table to cover tea and her relatively untouched coffee, before heading out of the café, and disappearing into shadow. |
