Hunting Pokémon was one of the most exciting, yet boring activities one could do alone. There were the highs of finding JUST the right mon to fill out your team, but also the pointed lows of missing your favorite drama on tv. Jasper was experiencing more of the lows this afternoon, as their team struggled to discover any hidden Pokémon lurking within the stubbles of shrubbery .

Ramen, the Zoroark, yawned as she walked alongside her trainer, stretching open her gapping jaws to reveal a perfect set of sharpen fangs. This so-called adventure had been nothing but dull for the hungry Pokémon and she was edging close to crawling back into her bed of a pokeball. That is, however, until the sound of nearby foot steps echoed into her ears.

With a devilish smile spread across her face, the zoroark took off towards the sound, transforming into a young woman the moment she could decipher what or who was creating those glorious footsteps. "Wha-- Ramen what da fuck are ya doin'?!" Jasper hollered behind, taking off only a moment after. Unfortunately, he lacked the physical anatomy to catch up, and struggled a good distance behind. By the time he would arrive, the mischievous Zoroark would've reached the mysterious trainer-- acting as "bruised" and "bloody" as she could. "Help...me...." She would immediately choke out.

"Wha-wait wait wait!!"

The playful Pokemon frowned a the man's lack of reaction. She was expecting something funnier than a flat question, and his lack of concern didn't help either. So, with a growl, the pokemon slunk back into it's original form and scouted out for it's next toy: a wild slowbro.



Jasper, who was both exasperated and winded from sprinting over, gulped several puffs of air before answering the man. "I--" They took another gulp of air, "So...sorry." It took a moment, but they finally were able to regain their composure, as the air had plumped up their lungs again. "Ramen tends to be a real asshole sometimes. Gets me into the worse situations--glad you were quick to see through her shit."



Glancing over, the trainer noticed their Pokémon gnawing on the unconscious slowbro, who had probably met a few fatal blows of Night Slash. They sighed and tossed a pokeball it's way. Might as well get some use out of her mischief.

"Jasper," They added shortly after Remiel's introduction. Turning to their left, the trainer took a few steps towards the now captured slowbro, picked up the pokeball, then turned back towards the man, their lips propped up into a half smile. "Yeah, we were plannin' on mappin' out the place. Curious to see what's inside. How about you?"

As the two conversed, the zoroark noticed another head pop up from the shrubbery. A new challenger had arrived. There was a sparkle in her eyes as she plowed through a leaf pile, leaped over a branch, and dived straight down towards an unexpecting exeggutor. Howls of joy emitted from Ramen as her sharpened claws slashed at her victim's body.

And again, Jasper only answered to their pokemon's accomplishment with a simple pokeball.

Complimenting someones' name was definitely an...odd choice. It wasn't like they chose it themself, or asked for it. Alas, the trainer brushed this off and averted his attention back onto what mattered: their similar intentions.

"Wanna go together then?" Typically, Jasper much preferred working alone - it made splitting up the rewards easier. But, for whatever reason, this rando had some juicy insider information that wouldn't be too terrible to leech off of. Especially since he'd be offering his company in exchange.
