He heard urban myths and certain rumors about how one specific spooky month broguth out the absolute worst in people. Though who believed, or simply wished to wreak havoc on an already tense population, did their dirtiest work on nights like this. The moon was barely a sliver in the sky,and Paxton had been called in based on a reported…body discovered. Its limbs were mangled, blood stains and drag marks visible. It certainly smelled like blood, not just red paint. Grisly handprints were spattered here and there, a head was cracked open. The body rested on the ground and around it were crude drawings of horns. [break][break]

“Poor cat.” He murmured as he made notes. He’d already started securing the scene and shooing off the couple of people that hand wandered by, but it was late at night, and the place was a dirty alley. Not too much passed by here. “Where’s th’ detective, already…?” he murmured, pulling out gloves to protect his hands.

it was the greatest time of the year: spooky season. a time where heathens bared their fangs and allowed their truest selves to come out. why? because it was often celebrated at this time, though, some people often went too far. hope may or may not have been one of those people. there were times were hope had found himself blessed with an immense amount of luck and this so happen to be one of those times. he'd caught the sight of blood on one of his bouts of wandering and let his eyes follow the trail to someone who'd already been there. now hope had initially thought this man was the perpetrator which is why he had quietly walked closer to the scene.[break][break]

"wow, that's a big mess you got there," he commented, walking around until he was in front of the man, squatting somewhat to get a closer look at the violated remains. his attention was grabbed by the gloves the man was putting on which reminded hope of the pair hanging from his back pocket— leather, of course.[break][break]

"smart, smart, gloves for safety. do you know what happened here?" hope half hoped that the stranger would say he was the one who did such a thing but was starting to get vibes that it wasn't the case. there was no blood on the man from what he could notice.[break][break]

He’s still trying to scout around the body for direction of the culprit. Maybe a weapon? Just double checking if the perimeter was big enough to capture what had happened. He’s in his thoughts, jotting down notes to hand over once the real star of the show showed up. And there’s he...certainly was. He looked up at the man that has nonchalantly walked past their police tape perimeter, eager to analyze the body. Teal eyes remain on the stranger, not immediately recognizing him from the precinct, but not terribly worried about it either. He was new, he hadn’t met everyone. “Keeps evidence intact.” He said with a small grunt, and he looked back down at his notes for the brief. [break][break]

“Signs of a…struggle? A chase maybe. Someone really didn’t want this Purrloin to get away.” He explained pointing down at the body. “There’s smears here an' there of possible culprit footsteps but…I just got here an' barely secured the scene. Haven’t had much time to look over anythin' else.” He explained as a couple more police cruisers pulled up to the alleyway. He held out an empty hand for the stranger. “Officer Concordas. It’s nice to meet you Detective…” he trailed off allowing the guy time to supply him with a name. “Don’t worry, haven’t touch anythin' yet with these.”
