an OMINOUS WIND sends a chill down his spine.

he turns, searching for the source of it only to see a wild driflbim floating overhead, too close for comfort.

ducking out of the way, he makes room for wobbuffet's DESTINY BOND to take hold. dark tendrils of life wrap around the driflblim, binding it to another.

GUNK SHOT, TOXIC only, were the restrictions in place leaving A!Muk in need of serious timing to get its attacks off.

Luckily this psychic-type didn't seem to be able to teleport, or lacked the tact to use such a move in the moment.

Quickly enough repeated poison hits from the ground made the Xatu sleepy and its wings heavy.

With proper aim and timing of his own, Sénon hit the falling bird with a pokéball just before it could hit the ground.

SCREECH and SHADOW SNEAK made for a victory again as another ghost made way into the vicinity.

Dragapult being weak to every move that matched its own type was one of the unique things about the cool dragon that threw its young at its opponent.

unbeknownst to matias, a FUTURE SIGHT is currently happening in the background. it won't be long now until his wobbuffet is blasted with visions of the future.

after a few minutes of walking, one of his wobbuffett drops to the ground, screeching in pain as a powerful psychic attack invades its mind. but, a MIRROR COAT quickly surrounds it, reflecting back the damage to the unknown target.

surprisingly, a swoobat drops to the ground from above, injured enough to stay still inside a thrown pokeball.

SCREECH and SHADOW SNEAK rinse and repeat, exploiting that psychic and ghost weakness.

A tinkerbell or whathaveyou couldn't overcome that without training apparently. Some of these pokemon from the other regions were just nonsense.

By now Muk was running on fumes instead of just venting them, after one more bout, he'd give someone else a turn to shine.

with one of his wobbuffet still on the ground, no longer in pain but maybe just lazy, it allows a wild banette to SHADOW SNEAK up on it to KNOCK OFF its huge grin it has on its face. wobbuffet cries out, stilling underneath the wild pokemon.

matias knows it's not fainted, however. just playing dead.

"you ape."

a pokeball flashes open, calling out his nidoking who leaps forward with a POISON JAB, and while it's not effective, it's enough to slow it down to PECK it down and into submission.

Sitting a spell to have a moment of rest along side his Muk, Sénon ignored the wild pokémon ballooning by.

It had to be only a matter of time before what he was looking for showed itself, he was seeing recurring species again and again.

The one he was actually looking for had to be coming soon.

the same thing starts appearing again. maybe they're related to the ones they've already encountered? either way, matias pays them no mind as he simply steps past whatever approaches, ignoring them in favor of what's to come.

Sitting as he did he was only inwardly startled at the sudden sight of an oranguru sitting next to him, posed as vexed as Senon himself was.

When the human stood up the Oranguru skipped away on its knuckles.

-only to come skipping right back when Sénon didn't give chase.

Clearly the psychic-type had an interest in this human and while A!Muk was recalled for a well deserved break this new wild one pounded his chest and showed his teeth stepping into Muk's place; defending the redhead from wild pokémon.

Seemingly this primate was a real go-getter and took the opportunity it saw to make itself great and go beyond this small area of tall grasses and regrets of the fallen.

He wanted to grow and to get out of this place, this human that looked like a long Infernape was going to help him.

similarly, the wild spoink attempts to befreind matias as it literally bounces up and tries to tackle him onto the ground. too bad matias is big and strong, so he remains standing.
