Megan really, really, really needed to get stronger. And that involved beating up wild Pokemon and catching them. Well, at least on that day it did. Megan knew that fighting trainers was generally better. Something something experience values or so. But after that disastrous stint at the tournament, she really did not feel like falling flat on her face again. Stupid, stupid sleeping moves.

Hopefully, the wild ‘Mons would not use them. And if they did, she could always just call out more and more Pokemon to take care of them. That was going to be a lot better.
For now though, she had her Empoleon out and stalked the Hills, looking for any kind of Pokemon that interested her. The intensity in her stare was certainly evident to anyone who noticed and most of the random people meant just made a bow around her anyway, not wanting to be drawn into whatever she had going there. But that was fine for Meg. She had enough of others taking pity on her. And one day, she would beat up that one gym leader for real, so that pity badge would not be a stain upon her career. Just not today. Today was catching day.
