his first brush with one of the spooky themed pokemon went better than he was expecting.

a small litwick mewed from the platform that was an old 1800s styled candle holder. It gave a small yelp of suprirse, eager to spook the newly arrived trainer. greyson smiles instead.

he raised a wrist to show the wild pokemon how spooked his comfey was.

this seemed to satisfy the pokemon, which in turn, satisfied greyson.

"mind giving us a tour?"

guided by his new friend, he finds himself soon in an olden-styled ballroom. it's empty, filled with tables and chairs covered up by old, dust covered cloths. despite that, there's a certain tune going about the place.

turning his eye to the stage, he spots a small enesemble of litwicks with kitchen utensils and pans, all flanking an oddly colored cubone in the center.

from its BELLY DRUM, it plays a tune that has the ghost-types movin' 'n groovin.

greyson of course joins in.
[break][break]
when all is said and done, he's nearly run out of time, but he hands the ground-type a poffin snack from his pocket.

"we need someone willin' to add some spooky theme music to our trip. you in?"
[break][break]
and thus, a new member was acquired.

guided by litwick, and properly in the scene of a spookster due to the ambiance of a certain cubone's belly jams, greyson finds his mood lifting to new heights.

leaving the ballroom, they round the corner to see a pokemon standing in their path. was this the haunted house's villian? its primary, demonic antagonist that would be his greatest foe?

when the goblin started to perform a rendition of michael jackson's 'thriller' in beat to the cubone's belly drum, he dropped that idea rather quickly.

instead, he and the goons assemble themselves behind him, and with a seasoned practice of a television show's musical episode, they dance.

when they walk away again, another member of the group has found their place.

with his dollar store macy's thanksgiving day parade making their way through the halls, greyson catches sight of a nearby lurking pokemon. it's skittish, lingering off to the side on it's web, watching with facination and awe.

"hey little guy, want to join?"
[break][break]
it backs off, tiny feet clambering up the web and closer to the ceiling. in challenge, greyson narrows his eyes, rounding his small group in a bruddle (bro-huddle).

when it breaks, they stand in a line.
[break][break]
then, the belly drum begins, and greyson's voice rises above the rest.
[break][break]
"you are... my fire."
[break][break]
next, the impidimp.
[break][break]
"imp...impidimp."
[break][break]
then, the litwick.
[break][break]
"lit, lit litwick."
[break][break]
what happens next is the most fucked up, but probably awe-inspiring rendition of "i want it that way" the warden has ever seen. when it ends, the spider is so enamored with the group, he approaches, gushing in it's own little pokemon language at the group.

greyson's head turns, catching the flare of the camera lens beneath the soft light from the ghost-type. he gives it a single head nod, and he makes his way out of the house.
