Mauville City Gym Challenge: Vs Summer Atreides

"Looks like things are wrapping up!" The Captain said, unfolding his hands. "Look alive, Kameba!"

A series of buzzing clicks released from the Crustle's maw as she reeled back her pincers, eyes aglow with fighting spirit as opponent called out their orders.

A beam of power and a charging fire ball behind it soared towards her.

"Show 'em something to remember!" Ordered the Captain, swinging his hand towards their opponents, index finger pointed skyward. "Rockslide UP!"

The Crustle's gleaming eyes turned white as the earth underneath her cracked to pieces, a spiderweb of fissures spreading underneath her before the earth surged upwards with a roaring noise, a geyser of dirt and solid stone rising high in the air directly underneath it.

Taking the brunt of the beams and smashes, the foundation of the rock tower crumbled, the structure cracking in several places and crashing down towards the soil.

"And down!" Shouted the Captain, turning his finger to point down to the ground.

A shrill screech came from above as the boulders of the crumbling stone formation came rushing down at high speed, the impact generating a large quake that shattered and split the earth, stone and mud rising and spreading outwards like it were a bomb.

-Crustle used rockslide.

Summer knew that she had almost no chance of protecting Surtur from the ROCKSLIDE. Her GYARADOS could manage with the health it had left, but her EMBOAR was ragged enough that the force of the attack was going to be his last.

"Okay, boy. This will be it. Give it what you got."

With a final HEAT CRASH, he used the remaining energy he had to demolish any rocks that could threaten his teammate. But with one falling boulder, he fainted, disappearing into his Poke ball.

It gave time for Summer's GYARADOS to find cover and continue to recharge, INTIMIDATING at the same time.

- EMBOAR used HEAT CRASH to destroy falling rubble!
- EMBOAR fainted!
- GYARADOS is charging! used ability INTIMIDATE while taking cover

Mauville City Gym Challenge: Vs Summer Atreides

The Captain was tapping a finger against his arm rapidly; one of his feet was bouncing on its heels. A toothy grin was stretching over his lips.

Palpable excitement as things threw near an end.

Dust and debris clears up to reveal panting Crustle, huffs and puffs leaving her frame as the rock on her back shifts back and forth. She's tired, but so is her opponent. Nevertheless, its fierce visage is no easier to look at- intimidating as ever.

"Just a drop left in the tank, huh?" Said the Captain as he gripped at the brim of his hat, his smile growing. "No reason to hold anything back, then. Shake off that fear, Kameba! You're the final stretch!"

"Rock Wrecker!"

The Crustle took in a deep breath at the order, her dark eyes glowing white as her energy began to flow out of her body in a rush, the soil around her splintering as a she roared her lungs out.

The earth underneath her surged forward like a wave, carrying her atop it like a surfer as the crashing stone rushed her towards her opponent.

-Crustle used Rock Wrecker.

Summer realized that it was the last stride forward. Victor or defeat awaited her, and she could feel it in her grasp. Whether or not she had it, she wasn't sure, but she did know her pride in her Pokemon was strong.

Especially in these two, even as her EMBOAR now rested in his Poke ball. Her GYARADOS was floating, hanging on it's last straw as it INTIMIDATED the CRUSTLE readying its attacking.

"Be prepared to dodge! Avoid!"

The advantage her Pokemon had was it's ability to float, so while the rocky shards flew forward, it was about to avoid a few. Several smaller ones hit, of course weakening it. But, with one final push, Summer commanded the final attack.

"HYDRO PUMP!"

- GYARADOS sustained damage
- GYARADOS used HYDRO PUMP on CRUSTLE

Mauville City Gym Challenge: Vs Summer Atreides

The rock type was washed away by the powerful blast of water, its body getting swept across the field in a wave before it crashed besides the Gym Leader.

The battle was over.

The sound of clapping came as the Crustle was returned to its pokeball and the gym leader muttered a few words into the device. It was from the Gym Leader, naturally, the young man approaching the challenger with a smile, clapping.

"Well done." He said as he came to stand across from Summer, reaching into his jacket to produce a gleaming badge. "Victory alone ain't enough to earn a badge, but you've proven yourself beyond that. It's been a pleasure, Ms. Prescott."

Passing the young girl the badge, the Gym Leader turned on his heel and began to walk away.

"Ya can trust the Blisseys with your pokemon if ya wish for them to be healed now." He said as two Blissey emerged from the nearest building and began to waddle towards them. "Otherwise, feel free to see yerself out. See ya 'round."

-Summer wins. Feel free to notify the admins for your badge!
