HELLO, EVERYONE! We're entering our 7th Arc on Hoenn! The setting and timeline will be updated to reflect this. Stay tuned as we explore the year of the dragon (or draconids?), while the site narrative brings Hoenn closer and closer to unparalleled dangers.

hoenn is inspired by, but not associated with nintendo's pokemon franchise.

skin is created by pharaoh leap with graphical help from red. we would like to thank leap and meulk for their additional templates (staff temp, custom pc).

next, garden/swarm spawn, ranger raid, black market, pkmn contest post templates were coded by ulla.

teal has created the wild spawn, endeavour list, league card, exhibits. he and spiral also created the gachapon script, while the former created the gachapon template.

loreq has assisted us with many quality of life changes on site involving coding fixes, plugins and more.

lav has coded in UI accessibility features on Hoenn (cogwheel icon on the navigational sidebar).

characters belong to the members who write them, and all posts and templates on site are credited to their respective authors and artists. we claim nothing that is not ours. thank you for stopping by.

SYNOPSIS: the hoenn league has successfully diverted the 99943 meteno meteroid into an alternate universe. consequently, the region has experienced a violent planeshifting, a bombardment of terastal crystals, and now sports various rifts to realms in the ultra wilds. as megalopolan activity begins to rise, trainers who embark in expeditions to these realms uncover secrets behind the condition of the multiverse.
meanwhile, team rocket and the league amass resources to aid in their conflict against each other. the crime syndicate is poised to take more of the region territorially, while the league ponders a direct offense. legendary pokemon roam the region as potential benefactors or ruinous omens, leaving many to ponder how the hoenn region will ultimately be responsible for the end of all worlds.

"yes. yes, it is," she says. a poetic title to such a delicate, bloodthirsty creature. as she nears its glass walls, the eyeball dissolves. a gaping hole takes its place; flint-like teeth stick through the flesh and it rams against the side of its confinement, scratching and teething to try to get at her. she trails a single hand over the wall. tenderly. lovingly.

she crosses to her desk and readies her screens. the lab comes to life just a bit more. lights flicker and the videography is given a green light. she tests her voice commands and then grabs her surgical kit.

while she disinfects and organizes her space, she has a sheet printed out. a lovely little list of all the things she wants to do to fernando silph.

"read over this," she says, handing it to him before snapping on gloves. "and if you disagree with any of it, tell me and i'll take it from the list. but nothing there will harm you. or our experiments."

REGRESSION FROM WITHIN

AN EYEBROW RISES as he goes through her checklist. he only gets through a few items until his gaze leaves the paper and single out on her figure. words along make him doubtful, evident in his scorn.

but his judgement is silent. implied.

in the end, he trusts her to a certain degree. trusts that she has the judgement that should she cross him in anyway he’ll tear everything down. anya fowl has been an exceptional addition to the project but no one is irreplaceable.

“you know where i stand on this.” no permanent harm. no lasting damage. fernando prizes his own well-being above all else. that being said, his innate nature forces him to go through the entire list. some of them he doubles back on but ultimately allows to pass despite being wary.

he puts faith in her professionalism.

most of the procedures on the list allow for some modicum of observation, something she's lacking in documentation. fernando's a busy man and very rarely can she get him in the same room as their surrogate child. already it's grown fascinated by his presence. it wails, very softly, when he hands the paper back to anya and gives her the go-ahead.

she eyes the straps beside him, but decides against it. the desire to constrain him, contain him, so that she might let herself get carried away, is there. but she quells that for now, instead reaching for a wipe so she can sanitize the crook of his arm.

"look up if you can't stand needles," she says as she presses for his vein. there are pulses under her fingertips - one, against his vein, the other, somewhat in tandem but slightly off-kilter, under her pinkie and ring finger. what remains of the tag truly has festered.

she slides the needle in, prepared for a reaction as blood starts to fill the vial.

SHE SAYS LOOK UP but he cannot tear himself away. not when it’s related to a project so important. lest he miss a crucial detail, such as someone getting lost in her own frenzy.

in any other situation, fernando would have averted his gaze. pair it with a subset of forced coughs—the focus on his throat and stomach hides when the needle actually pierces skin. that gets him through the worst part of it. usually.

what she extracts is just his blood. the dark, almost purple, gray, liquid fills her tube. the WISH TAG remnant does not react. but, upon closer examination, she will notice the sigil glow, dim and near invisible.

the blue of his veins seems to move on their own accord. they seem to spread, as if polluting his arm with their essence. it’s small. minuscule. but it is there, the insidious virus he’s plagued himself with just for a chance to counter balance control over the WISH TAG itself.
