She wants to believe her, that these Pokemon involve themselves for a reason. But it's difficult to grasp, like a leap of faith.

Stormy swallows, memories flooding back in which she had performed one of her own. Diving recklessly into the heart of the volcano on a hunch. On a blind belief that Moltres would show up and that everything would be okay.

If she could do that, why couldn't she believe now?

"Yes."

She retrieves a Pokeball containing Wadjet, but doesn't open it inside. The woman catches the Golurk's friendly wave and she returns it with her own.

"Lead the way, Illie."

[attr="class","illie i"]she flashes a small smile. it's grateful, warm, a spot of sunshine against the unknown they face.

and without knowing what's up ahead, they navigate blindly. it's hard to discern what's probable and what's impossible without all the facts. she's leaping on faith, instinct, and stormy has agreed to come along on the ride.

"okay," she murmurs.

her lab is closed for the day in a quick flurry of rapid movements. machines power down, lights shut off, and they're off to the races.

the outside world greets them with a warm sunny day. she turns to face stormy with a wider smile than before, the sun hot on her back.

"you ready?" there's a nervous excitement to her voice, mannerisms, expression. the golurk behind her gently lowers a hand to allow her to climb up, to take her place on its shoulder before they finally take flight.

next stop: mt. chimney... time and space, she's coming for you.
