briefly, before the battle kicks off, cian pushes on a button on a control panel beside him. something clicks in the background, whirring to life as a SANDSTORM begins to wrap around them, clouding them whole.

gliscor's SAND VEIL kicks in as it takes off into the air, avoiding the MUDDY WATER before boosting itself with a SWORDS DANCE. it twirls in the air, spinning in a delicate dance that sharpens its stinger.

machine generated as this was, his ability to remove the sandstorm from play was nigh-impossible. but he could make it messier for the gligar to fly in.

wobbling large, globular arms, gumbo calls forth a RAIN DANCE. water and sand mix, clumping and threatening the creatures ability to fly for long periods of time.

even now, even after experiencing it countless times, the feeling of wet stand splattering down on him is disgusting. gross. but he has no way to clear the RAIN DANCE either.

it does hinder gliscor's ability to remain in the air for too long. soon, it pokes through chunks of wet sand, sending its stinger for a SKY UPPERCUT.

it was disgusting. but, like the notice said, greyson came prpared. the rain, sand, and the sludge it was turning into, bounced harmlessly against his raincoat.

the SKY UPPERCUT lands, the sharp stinger failing to penetrate the gooey, bubbly flesh, however. it also allows the dragon to retaliate. thick globs of the goodra's slime lance like, POWER WHIPS of a disgusting make, to wrap around and slam the bat into the ground.

if only cian had a raincoat. but he's used to shit like this, so he's never really bothered with getting one. this looked cooler, anyways.

the POWER WHIP connects, curling around gliscor before slamming it to the ground. it yelps, feeling the wind knocked out of it only to sink its THUNDER FANGS into the dragon's tail.

gumbo honks in pain, trickles of electricity coursing the thick blubber. but, the gliscor had made a mistake, if it considered it's tail to be a weakness.

still wrapped around the bat's mouth, gumbo swipes it's POISON TAIL in a whiplash fashion. even if it held on, the poison had a very real chance to seep further into it's digestive track.

yikes! wrapped and nowhere to go, gliscor's flung around by the POISON TAIL, breaking free shortly after with a sharp screech. it flutters back, disappearing into the thick of the SANDSTORM.

"retaliate, gliscor!"

it's there that will-o-wisp-like shapes start to form, and it's with a swipe of its tail that sends a swift NIGHT SLASH towards the goodra.

under the cover of it's SAND VEIL, gumbo has difficulty locating the gliscor, much to it's frustration. she has barely a time to react as umbral energies lash out from within', arcing across her chest and abdomen in an attack that leaves her honking in pain.

left with little options, and fueled by a tinge of panic, her maw opens to spew forth a devastating dragon pulse. it moves as she does, left and right, in hopes of landing a hit.

the DRAGON PULSE grazes against one of gliscor's wings, clipping it just enough to send it spiraling towards the ground. it tucks its wings in, however, and spreads them just mere inches before impact. from there, it's an easy glide to safety.

cian's able to see their silhouettes through the thick of the SANDSTORM, so the order comes easy.

"to your right!"

vague, but it works. gliscor tilts, sending another NIGHT SLASH towards the right.

emotions run rampant, roaring fiercely alongside the sandstorm that batters her pale purple skin. the thick slime that coats her body holds on by a thread, relying on the meager scraps of water from her RAIN DANCE to stay afloat.

the silhouette of of a spiraling gligar cues the cutoff of her attack, eyes trailing the shadowy predator. as it recovers, she reacts instantly.

hands reach out in front of her, small stubs with the force to shatter bones, and erect a sphere of PROTECTION. gliscor's night slash breaks over it, exploding around the sphere harmlessly.

the shattering of the PROTECT glistens under the artificial lights. he sees it briefly before it's once again encapsulated by the wet SANDSTORM that's started to thin. it'll disappear soon, so they'll have to utilize it for as long as it lasts.

gliscor senses it, too.

which is why it flies forward, closing the distance to throw a POISON JAB with its stinger.
