This whole thing had been surprisingly easy - to get the area hired, to set up the background, to hire the photographer, and most importantly to find someone adorable enough to look perfect in the lingerie.[break][break]

Melody! Cora had heard of her - gym leader, of course, but also gorgeous young thing on the rise. Reminded her a little of herself, honestly. Especially the fact that she was beautiful. She'd taken the girl "backstage" - in reality, just behind the little modesty divider at the side of the room for her to change between outfits - and began picking at and pointing to various sets and bodysuits that she thought would fit her model for the day.[break][break]

In hues from pale yellow to cosy red, from deep wine to gold, Cora's autumn collection straddles the age-old line between untouched virgin and absolute whore - the crossover that everyone loved their lingerie to stride! There were some pieces that were a little more conservative, with a sensible bust, a comfy robe - the kind of thing that one could cosy up by the fire on a fur rug with. Which was good, because that was the whole theme of the shoot! "Leisurely young woman, glass of wine in one hand, snuggled up by the fire waiting for her lover to come home. That kind of thing, you know?" She smirked at Melody for a moment.[break][break]

Other pieces looked more akin to a web of strings and some pasties - a little less suitable for the cold. But hey... there were other ways to get warm.[break][break]

"Your hair is such a beautiful colour, you know. Is it natural, amore mio?" She spoke absent-mindedly, as she laid the pile of selected clothes on a stool nearby. "Are you comfortable with your makeup and all that? You'll be putting this online too, so I'm sure you want to look your best" Cora held her gaze with bright-green eyes, smiled a wide smile, and put her hands over Melody's. "You are going to look so gorge."[break][break]

"Ah, and feel free to pick out anything you like, of course! The ones I chose are just ones I thought you'd look beautiful in, but it's up to you, hm? Anything from the collection is fair game, cerbiatto"

"Yeah totally!" She had no idea what that was like as melody was a pure and rather innocent idiot when it came to romance. She was known as a heartbreaker only due to the fact that she had no idea anyone even really saw in that light! Her pastel blue hair was made to look very messy and all loose to try something new from her usual pony tail.[break][break]

"Oh! My hair is naturally pink! But to keep it from not getting fried from hair dye I usually rely on my Smeargle to paint it!" she said with a small smile on her face as it seemed like Cora was the type of person who could appreciate Melody's artistic eye as she seemed to have an eccentric style all of her own. "Wow cora...all of these are just...stunning." she said as her eyes lit up, unable to choose as she switched from outfit to outfit on what to wear. "These...these look more like art pieces than outfits, how could I possibly pick one?" she asked her as she was torn. [break][break]

"My mother would probably want me to wear something that borders on like..teasing? Like you MAY catch a slip of something but it seems to never come? Leaves you on the edge of your seat. Anything like that comes to mind?" she asked. Melody was usually the Diva but this time the roles had reverse. [break][break]

Melody was in Cora's realm and she was the canvas for her to be painted on.

This kid was truly trying all of Cora's patience - not in a negative way, but in the sense that she kind of just wanted to pinch her cheeks and tell her how cute she was for the next five hours.
"That's a smart idea, I should take your example" She smirked and twirled a section of her lime bangs as she did so.[break][break]

"You really are too sweet, amore mio. Keep complimenting me like that and I'm gonna end up giving them all to you for free!" Absolutely definitely not, but it was nice to make people feel special.[break][break]

Cora stood and listened for a second, hip cocked and a finger tapping on her lips in thought. "Hm. Your mother?" She looked Melody up and down for a moment. "That's sweet, I like all of that. But you know you can choose what you want to wear, too, babe. Like, here, imagine this:" She puts up her hands as though panning a movie shot.[break][break]

"Me and the photographer - we're like your husband coming home, and you love us so much that you want to surprise us with wearing something nice. But it's also something that you think you are gonna look utterly scrumptious in, y'know? We can wear what mummy wants, but let's wear what Melody wants, too!" [break][break]

With this, she beamed and picked out a set that she thought might fit well with Melody's mother's idea. A bra and panties decorated in floral lace appliques, where the fabric between was so sheer that Melody's rosy skin would have shone through like stained glass. Everything that needed to be covered was covered perfectly, but it looked like it was a wrong pose away from giving everything up.[break][break]

Melody stared at Cora Valentine , the woman was clearly inexperienced when it came to dealing with the force of nature known as Madeleine Miro. "HmMMmmmMm, alright but it'll be you're funeral when she comes looking for you. She is my manager after all." she snickers. [break][break]

Well honestly if this shoot didn't go off perfectly her mother would kill them all anyways so may as well make something they liked right? She looked at the outfit that Cora pulled, reminding herself of the description that the designer gave her. "Oh lord...Uh...sure!" she said obviously hesitant at first, she couldn't even imagine that scene in her head. Her? Married? Scantily clad in something for her husband? Her face turned an extremely bright red, matching some of the fabrics Cora had about. [break][break]

No! If she was going to be the top artist in the field she HAD to be more brave! She had to push the limits of her brand! She quickly grabbed the outfit and rushed behind the changing area, tossing her other clothes off and changing with lightning speed. However after she was done she was stunned, she didn't want to leave the changing room. It was a long enough pause that surely Cora would come asking for her.

"Pft. While you're here, I'm your manager" She laughs right back. Cora was indeed inexperienced with Melody's mother, and perhaps if she knew her better, she might have minded her words... but as for now? Melody was a cutesy girl who Cora wanted to gain a little bit of confidence from their meeting today. Also, pretty selfishly, she wanted her model to look hot and not concerned about what her mum thought.[break][break]

She raises a brow once Melody's cheeks redden and can't help but grin, she's just so damn cute. Cora isn't sure if it's all a cutesy-wutesy act that Melody is just very good at, or whether she really is this naïve and sweet, but either way, it's charming. She wanted her to succeed at this as much as Melody did![break][break]

And so she waits.[break][break]

She taps her foot against the floor for a second to fill the silence - the photographer and herself exchange a quick wtf? glance, at which point Cora decides to just double check that Melody hasn't, like, accidentally knocked herself out while changing and died of blunt force trauma or something.. She hovers outside the curtain of the changing room, clears her throat a little.[break][break]

"You okay in there, amore mio? Need any help?"

"HAH." she laughed. "You clearly have never met my mother. She always commands the room, it'd be funny to watch you guys fight." she grins as she was just playing around, she never wanted these two to meet. It would be constant fighting. [break][break]

The silence grew more awkward and awkward as the silence was deafening between Melody and Cora. "I cant do it." she said blushing. "This is..this is a severe lack of clothi- Cora- I ." she said not even wanting to leave from behind the curtain, she was NOT used to being this exposed. Melody Miro had a body confidence issue? Melody had cofidence issues period?? Well it should have been obvious, her mother was a model with a perfect body and melody could do nothing but pick out flaws in herself. [break][break]

The same things she felt like she had been told by a different voice than her own.

The silence was broken by Melody's stress. Cora sighs, just little enough to not be heard - she realisesher own frustration would only make her model feel worse, after all. She runs a hand through her hair and then speaks up.[break][break]

"Listen, Melody. If you really don't think you can do it, I'm not gonna force you. Nobody is, okay? Buuut... I also know that you look absolutely gorgeous back there, and you're just feeling overwhelmed."[break][break]

She runs her fingernails over the fabric of the curtain like she were petting a Meowth, the soft fabric on the pads of her fingers. She sighs again, this time more in a so what do we do now kind of way than a just put the damn thing on way. Madeleine Miro was a force to be reckoned with, both on and off camera, so how was her daughter so... this?[break][break]

"Do you want me to come in there and take a look? Nobody else, just me"[break][break]

Maybe some girl time was required. Cora couldn't help but get the feeling that perhaps Melody hadn't had a girl bestie to say how cute she was and try on clothes with, before... maybe that was exactly what she needed.

Melody was silent as Cora spoke, for once her own nerves got a hold of her. That used to not happen, why now? She had no idea as everything was so different since that day rocket meddled in her life personally. But Cora's intuition was right, Melody grew up with no real friends. [break][break]

Her conversations with Chu-e Choi still lingered in her mind during his gym challenge. She was previously unable to feel sadness, as so she was felt like she was going to, BLIP it was gone. That absence of emotion made it hard for her to be there for someone else. She'd just keep smiling and act like nothing was wrong which made people resent her. [break][break]

So when Cora had asked if Melody wanted her to come in, Melody slid open the curtain, inviting her in. Inside Cora would see that everything fit perfectly like a charm. There were no issues with it whatsoever, but it was the person wearing it who was having issues right now. Staring at the floor "Do you really think this looks good on me? Maybe someone else could wear it better."

Cora lets the silence hang for a moment, then gives her model a smile as the curtains part. She slips between them quickly, blocking the gap with her body - she figures it might make Melody feel more covered up that way.[break][break]

"Melody, looking at you right now, I can't imagine anyone wearing it better"[break][break]

It was mostly true, after all - she was stunningly gorgeous in the outfit. It hugged her body in all the right ways, pushing and tucking where needed. The only person Cora could think of that might look more beautiful was herself, but that was mostly the whole self-obsessed thing talking. She reaches out to play absentmindedly with a lock of Melody's baby blue hair.[break][break]

"I really, really do think you look great. Make a deal with me - I think we should take a couple photos, and then you can see how you look. Not just sanding here in the changing room feeling sorry for yourself, but out there in the set, with the lighting. You'll look beautiful, I promise, amore mio" She seals her monologue by leaning in and - gently, so as to not mark her lovely face with bright pink lipstick - planting a kiss on Melody's forehead.[break][break]

It was mostly done out of love and care, but also just a tiny bit of her that didn't want her model to get all bah humbug on her lovely frosty photoshoot.
