The Swanna was still flying, however her flight pattern was now noticeably listing to the left as the mega-evolved Pidgeot made to land momentarily—and she took the chance, an attempt to fling one last-ditch attempt of a feathery mass of down (Feather Dance) at the grounded avian.

Whether or not the attack would connect, she kept her exhausted gaze on the other, who surprisingly (or cunningly?) timed the downpour coming to an end to charge forward in her direction in a Heat Wave attack.

A loud squawk, before another wild attempt at an Air Slash—which had been knocked awry because of her aim due to exhaustion setting in—the fiery attack sending her soaring down to the ground.

Before she could literally swan-dive into the mucky ground, a red beam of light rescued her as the last of the rain came to a halt and the skies softened again to a lighter shade of gray.

“That was some—excellent timing. Were you keeping track?” he called out as he crossed the battlefield, rummaging around in the pocket of his jacket before pulling out something small and cold.

“Timing the Mega Evolution turned the battle in your favor, admittedly,” he continued as he reached the other side and gestured for the other to hold out his hand.



“Good luck, and I hope to see more of your face around the Gym circuit! Congratulations!”
