Delibird Deliveries specialized in delivering to out-of-the-way locations, and rural areas like the farms and ranches around Petalburg were kind of his bread and butter. Especially this time of year.

Locke blew warm air into their hands, watching the white puffs escape through their fingers. Even Cado-Cado gave a full-body shiver by their feet. The cold might’ve slowed them down any other day, but luckily they had an extra pair of hands today.

”Hangin’ in there?” Locke asked Mika over their shoulder as they continued down the dirt path.

Mika was as warm as they could be. They are filled with winter cheer and excitement to be a Delibird's little helper. Mika hummed a short tune to a wintery song sung about merriment and cheering for love for your pokemon and your fellow man. Mika is and never plans to be a man. They understood what that meaning meant, though, since he was so mature.

Mika's humming caused puffs of stark white haze to come out of their mouth in tune with the song they sang. Mika's partner, Itty-Bitty the Dragonite, was even as cheerful as they walked alongside Mika as it was excited about the prospect of gifting gifts to people.

Locke asked if they were hanging in there, which Mika answered with an honest-"Just Pecha and jam back here, Mister Locke!"

Locke had been more than a little nervous about bringing Mika along, after the last time they’d invited a kid on their delivery route, but everything had gone very smoothly so far. Though exploding Pokémon and near-fatal brain bubbles made for a very low bar.

He faked checking the GPS on his phone, using the excuse to slow down a bit and fall in step beside his tiny assistant. ”One last stop out here, and then we can go back into town for some lunch.”
