it's not a long flight to kaleidoscope.[break][break]

her corviknight air taxi lands before his own corviknight does. the bird basically shrugs niko off and onto the ground before cawing to be recalled. he lands with a solid thump, feet scattering dirt, and after sighing, he points a pokeball up and recalls his corviknight.[break][break]

stepping towards the entrance, he pushes the doors open and holds them for her, gesturing.[break][break]

she was off the taxi first. berry-stained hands stuffed in the pouch of her hoodie, she watched up at the slower bird as it descended with her boss. the face she regarded it with made no attempt to look very impressed, until it cawed loudly, and she jumped.

when they landed, the loud bitch was recalled, and her attention turned to niko.

”thanks.”

she gave him a short smile and then turned to enter the establishment, and find a bar stool to order from.

”a negroni, please.”

it was maybe likely that niko would consider it bad. a negroni was sweet for a moment, but its particularly bitter finish was certainly an acquired taste, and tended to catch people off guard.

she wasn’t used to not getting what she went for. to having others step in. it had been a wild stroke of bad luck, almost to the point of hilarity, but she wasn’t laughing.
