The last time Mars had stopped by Dewford, it had been for the sake of helping DEREK HOFFMAN with a certain “Wailord situation” at the sandy beaches of the small island. Today, his reasons for visiting are much different, and after his sailboat docks, it’s soon that he makes it past the beach and into the town itself, approaching the library that is apparently now managed by a new acquaintance of his.

Nia was slightly bored on the front desk, the visitor for today is awfully low but honestly Nia unable to blame them as a library would not be their first destination on celebrating Christmas after all. Nia gently played the sleigh bell, which was supposed to be a decoration, on her hand. She suddenly rang it louder with the entrance of Mars, his entrance slightly surprised her and almost spill the cup of hot chocolate on her desk.

"Sorry bout' that" Nia apologized over the mess that she almost made. "Yeah, we do accept a new applicant for the challenge." Nia clears her throat and starts to introduce the gym. "We offer a traditional course and a nontraditional course" Nia starts to introduce how the gym works. "The traditional course is where you will fight directly the leader in either a single or double battle and prove yourself on doing a creative tactic" Nia starts to explain while giving out a pamphlet about it. "While the nontraditional battle will test your knowledge, the detail on how it works can be read over here" Nia gives him another pamphlet filled with the mechanic of the nontraditional battle.

"Also, Nia Acadia is indeed around, Mars. She is closer than you thought." Nia smiles. She is fully aware that her clothing and makeup when she was sitting at the front desk is completely different than usual so Nia doesn't feel weirded out for Mars didn't recognize her. "Which course do you want to pick, sir?"

As the woman speaks, Mars takes the pamphlet and looks through it, initially paying little mind to her appearance. For someone who is usually so observant and careful, for someone who has built the terrible habit of paying attention to even the most minuscule of details, even Mars can slip at times, especially with how his health has been as of late. This is not the sort of place where he expects to find someone in disguise, and as such, it’s for a moment that he lowers his guard.

The woman’s mysterious words quickly remind him that this is a foolish mistake to make.

Nia let out a sigh, feeling disappointed. If her previous remark was part of the challenge, he would have failed by now. "Non-traditional it is. As the pamphlet says, you will have three hints on every floor. Once you guess the answer - You can give the answer to the front manager on every floor where they will give you the next quiz for the next floor. This is your quiz for this floor." Nia takes out a piece of paper after shuffling a deck for a moment.

She ignores his remark regarding the Cubchoo and rummaging another card of riddle for him to take. "You answer it correctly, this is your second riddle and you can give the answer to the manager on the second floor" Nia press a button that is hidden underneath her desk which reveals a stair and an elevator. If Mars picks the elevator, the elevator will only show a button to the second floor. "This is your second riddle, have fun, and hope you enjoy the challenges" Nia gives him the riddle card with a smile.

The well endowed and alluring woman is waiting for Mars to come as she is the second-floor manager, a manager that captivates many people with her seductive manners while in reality, the woman is just a book nerd and spend most of her time in front of her computer doing a roleplay in a certain forum. Mars approaches her and gives the answer for the second riddle, "It is indeed Unown, the pokemon with an unknown origin and has a shape of alphabets. To know about it, you must be quite knowledgeable aren't you, hot stuff" She praises him with a smile. The second floor is filled with a PC that is connected to the internet and the library database, the PC is open to use by Mars if it is needed, however, a single usage of the PC will be counted to the usage of the hint. She takes out the third riddle and gives it to him, "Hope you can answer this one. This can be tricky" She smiles.

The smirk he gives the second floor manager is much like the one given to the disguised Rocket grunt earlier, Mars always being one to be confident in his ways, and at her comment, he simply chuckles, offering no more than a light shrug in response:

He does have nine of them, after all, but beyond that he has done way too much research into the species ever since receiving the mysterious device that contained the Unown Report.

While Mars may know a few things about pokémon, he’s not as familiar with the sounds they make, and when listening to the third riddle, he frowns just so slightly. Is it the call of a certain species? The sound made by a certain attack? His pride doesn’t make him foolish enough to just guess because of not wanting to ask for help, and such being the case, he approaches a library employee that happens to be standing nearby.

The man that holds the book about rose got called out by Mars wanting to get the hint for the riddle. All of the employees within this building have gotten briefing about this and memorized the riddle and the answer to it in the case of the challenger seeking a hint. "Ah, yes... Can I see or hear the riddle first?" The man asks and listens to the record that Mars has. The man nods once and then twice trying to remember the answer for this particular riddle and snaps his finger.

"Ah, yes this is a tricky one. The hint that I can offer you is that the voice has been altered as if you are in a mirror word." He gives Mars a hint with a cryptic smile. It may be a hint but there is no way for them to give them the answer straightly. "Good luck with that! You have two hints left" The man reminds Mars.

Mars has always been one to have a decent ear for things (unlike Azul, who might as well be deaf) but he sure as hell can’t just reverse a sound in his mind. Is he supposed to use one of the computers, then? Interesting…

A random worker take a peek and notices what Mars is trying to do and gives a freebie "Oh that pokemon... Try to look at the name of the audio file that is given by the application. That could be your extra hint" The man offered before leaving the man to his own device.
