The distortion of the space is resulting in massive nausea for Nia, putting her in a disoriented condition not able to tell left or right. Her arms flails around trying to find the nearest wall to grounds her vision and after several failed attempts, she managed to find a wall. However, luck was not on her side - As she put her hand on the wall something fires up. The sounds of gear turning echo throughout the space and fill something off with the whole situation, ignoring her current condition - She moves slowly with the help of the wall as her guiding cues. She moves in the direction where the sound of gearing gets dimmer and dimmer however there is no sign of it completely gone or out of reach, which means - whatever the sound was, it is moving. For precautions, Nia takes out Nina and Mahiro and asks them to be on high alert. Who knows what could they have in this ALTERNATE DIMENSION after all.

She makes a turn on the corner suddenly something hard collides with her really hard robbing all of her breath in one go. The COLLISION somehow becomes a cure to her nausea and disorientation as she vomits everything inside her stomach and felt better. After she got her bearing back, she finally realized where she is and what she is facing - it is a trap. A vicious mechanical Persian is growling in front of her after tackling her, in fact, everything around her feels like it was coming from an advanced civilization with advanced technology beyond what she knows of. However, she can't think further as the mechanical Persian is ready to pounce and shred her into pieces. Before it can do that to her, Mahiro crash into her with METAL CLAW forcing the robot to crash to the nearest wall. Nia decides to have a strategical retreat since she is not fond of a fight without any clear information.

After creating a good distance between them and the Persian, she found herself a door and a peculiar item lying down on the ground. Nia takes it and realized that it has a resemblance to the Silvally Memory she has and instead of Ice, it is ELECTRIC-TYPE SILVALLY MEMORY. She decides to pick it up and wonders why it is there. She opens the door and finds herself in a room that looks like a laboratory. She decides to inspect the room and read some research papers and the document that is neatly stored there - completely forgetting that she was just in danger a moment ago. However, her action doesn't come out as useless as she finds an instructional book that interests her about a move that is supposed to be Silvally's exclusive move yet with that technology, any pokemon can learn about it. Nia found the pod in the question and decide to fire up the pod and start to follow the instruction. When she was deciding which pokemon of hers should learn the move suddenly Nina leaps onto the machine and makes the machine starts resulting in NINA THE ALOLAN NINETALES LEARN MULTI-ATTACK. Once Nina got out and Nia wants to let others use it next suddenly the machine broke down and refuse to work again. Nia concludes that this machine must have been a one-time use only so she decides to carefully dismantle it to find if there is something that can help her to go back home but instead she found another Silvally memory and this time it is a PSYCHIC-TYPE SILVALLY MEMORY. Nia looks around again but is unable to find anything interesting so she decides to move out of the room. While the room feels safe for now, staying here is not good for her especially since she wants to go back.

The hallways still produce the gearing sounds as if the building itself is coming to life. If Nia is more tech-savvy and an inventor, she would be in awe of the creation that she finds around her however she is just a bookworm. While the machine, the robot, and the whole situation pique her interest but it doesn't beat her priority to go back home. Who knows what vicious trap is hidden around here. A growling sound can be heard at the end of the hallway and it was the previous mecha Persian that attacks her earlier. However, she is now not flustered like before. From the document that she read from the laboratory, this was an abandoned military research institution where they are making a mecha beast with Pokemon as its inspiration. Due to one reason and another, they abandon the project and the base. Apparently, when she first arrived here - she triggers something that put this facility come back to life and determine her as an intruder which made this mecha Persian, the guard of this place, chase her. The mecha Persian's body is covered with the black aura and it swings its claw and perform a MULTI-ATTACK toward Nina. Nina evades and a blue cold aura gathers on her mouth and a blast of intense cold wind comes out freezing the whole body of mecha Persian as she performs SHEER COLD. The extremity of the coldness makes the body gives out and shattered into pieces revealing another Silvally memory and now it is a FIRE-TYPE SILVALLY MEMORY. Nia decides to keep it and move to the main operation room where there should be an exit there based on what the map she read back in the laboratory.

Arriving at the main operation room as she opens the door, she gasped noticing the very first living organism in this place and that person is none other than herself. However, something about her is amiss - as she may look similar to how Nia looks but something about her is different but Nia can't put the ring on it. "Wh-" Nia was going to ask but the alt!Nia smiles inhumanely as the smile stretches across her cheeks. "I am you. I am more you than you ever wish to be. A complete one unlike a half-empty husk-like you. For someone who boasts to have known a lot, you actually know nothing" The woman speaks in clarity. Nia's eyes widened realizing what she meant, this self knows something about the dream. "What do you know?" Nia demands an answer and when she was going to answer suddenly the room's temperature dropped immensely creating an ice crystal everywhere and freezing the other self leaving Nia with no answer. Despite her strong resistance to cold temperatures, this is beyond what she can handle. Her whole body shivered uncontrollably while Nina and Mahiro tries to warm her up but failed. She crumpled to the ground, bundling up into a ball trying to stop the shivering and unable to recall anything - she goes unconscious. She thought she dies but suddenly she woke up and found herself back in the cave with no one around, she has returned from the other dimension. The other dimension collapsed and reject Nia forcing her to go back to her real dimension. Yet, the feeling of disparity in her memory still lingers.

It might be a bold strategy but she always kinda wants to lose herself in a bold strategy hoping for an unconventional result like how some books would tell their story. And the results make her smile while Nina just cries in annoyance. The attack was hit but by sacrificing its own body - Bruxish slams her with her tail and shoves her away. However, before she flies further - Nina's eyes fixated on Bruxish's body and Nia understands what Nina wants. "Freeze 'er Nina!" Nia shouts as Nina let out ICY WIND once again targetting right Bruxish and not the body of water.

Nia loves Nina, she really does. However, her pride could sometimes hinder her from doing an action and it can be clearly seen right now. "Dodge!" Despite Nia shouting the order, Nina stands strong until the last moment before she finally attempts to escape. However, the attempt comes too late and she still gets bitten partially. However, Nina is not that weak to be down just because she received damage. "Stay calm Nina, we will proceed with the next plan! Nina, use DAZZLING GLEAM!"

Nina's body is shrouded with beautiful light and Nina rush toward Bruxish like a meteor.

Another swimming pool field, huh? What is with a gym leader with a swimming pool-like area? Nia can't help herself to remember her time challenging Melody's gym. On the bright side, that means she has some experience battling in a similar area like this. "Hello, Tempest Quinn. Nice to meet you and hope we could have fun in this battle" Nia smiles as she takes out her Alolan Ninetales. "This is the pokemon I will be using. This would be an interesting fight don't you think" Nia claims while Nina waits elegantly on the deck while her eyes keep darting to the Bruxish that is swimming on the water. "Then, let's bring snow into our party, shall we~" Nia snaps her finger as the hailstorm rained down due to Nina's ability, turning the area become colder. On top of that. Nina opens her mouth and blasts a cold wind to the water- ICY WIND - freezing it gradually to make Bruxish speed decrease.

Nia's journey to get gym badges haven't stopped yet and today's destination is the Pacidflog Gym which is led by Temp. Nia enter the place and display her desire to challenge the gym in the traditional way which means a good old fashion 1v1 pokemon battle with the gym leader. Nia decides to use her ninetales for the fight and now she is waiting for what will happen next.

"What a nice number you got there" Nia smirks looking at the number that Boruta gets. Yeah, she is a child who giggles after looking at the funny number, sue her. Nia takes out something from under her desk and start reading a riddle to Boruta.

"I was alone, a lonely figure. But as the time goes I have a party"

"That is your riddle, you have three chances to ask for a hint from any staff here. Good luck with your endeavor! If you think that you have the answer - feel free to give the answer to me" Nia nods letting Boruta to do his job. "Oh don't worry, your chance for asking a hint will get renewed once you goes up"

Nia puts no fault upon the people there, either it is due to the nature of the challenge that is going to be given next or the fact that it is fear of the unknown Nia completely understands that, and part ways with a smile with the people who have been kind enough to lend hands to her. "There is no shame on self-preserving. I wish you all well and good luck" Nia says her short farewell and goes to her destination. As she walks, some stray glances are directed to her but none of them reach out to her. Until a loud voice calls and Nia by instinct turn and looks at him. A well-prepared man as if he is ready for any sort of end-of-the-world scenario. Nia can't help herself thinking of him as a small dog trying to bark to intimidate, what a cute presence.

"Thank you for the heads up, I wouldn't realize that this is the end of the world" Nia states sarcastically. "Since you are kind enough to warn me that. I will start to avoid another human beings then. After all, human is the second biggest reason for people to die in an apocalyptic situation like this. I will definitely pass my own judgment to that said person" Nia calmly states with a smile, implying that she refuses his threat and is willing to fight for it. Whether the man understands it or not... Well, it is another matter. Nia already put her hand on one of her Pokeball where Nina rested. In the case of them attacking, Nia will call out Nina and order her to use Blizzard. She wished that they just leave her alone though.

Facing Melody was challenging as she would have expected since the beginning, she would not expect less from a gym leader such as hers. However, Nia is able to give a proper fight back and give them an equal challenge at her, while she is like that - Nia is still taking pride in being the minor league gym leader after all. With the spotlight being targeted at her, Nia bows politely with a smile - "I graciously accept the badge, miss Melody. It was an educational journey for me to have a fight with you" Nia says it gracefully as she takes the badge.

The water gradually got closed off with a layer of ice from the freeze-dry and blocks Mahiro from going down to the water again. However, it is not much big of a deal as that tactic could only work once since the element of surprise has diminished greatly. Mahiro land on the layer of ice and starts to skate around, making a dizzying movement. Mahiro circles the Lapras several times, occasionally get closer, and then skate away just to put the Lapras on the edge, taunting. "Mahiro, give em' a surprise. use METAL CLAW" Nia asks as Mahiro's claw glows and strike to the Lapras' back

The piercing voice that is going to be emitted from Lapras forces her to close her ears but she doesn't let Mahiro stay there and let themselves get hit. Knowing how there is water beneath the platform, she can use it as an advantage to block the travel of the sound that can hit Mahiro. Mahiro stares at her eyes and nods to understand what Nia wants before she DIG to the ground and stabs herself to the platform while holding her breath.

"Well, I am a firm believer of rather being the jack of all trade and master of none. I prefer to sharpen one blade that I have to its most sharpened state" Nia grinned back while squinting through the hail storm to determine the location of the Lapras then let out a whistle. Coming from under the platform beneath the Lapras - Mahiro emerges as she rolls like a meteor ball while performing GYRO BALL.

Nia holds herself back from fist-bumping after seeing how the claw manages to connect, when she wants to announce that she wants to end this battle - Mahiro quickly shakes her head vigorously, knowing what her trainer wants to do. Nia, understand that beneath her playful streak, Mahiro is someone who hates losing and surrendering right now would only make Mahiro angry at her. How foolish she was to almost forget about that fact, she decides to tighten her resolve once again and let the fight continue until she faints. The hail finally ends and the area visibility has been cleared, losing her any sort of upper hand.

Mahiro wants to continue the barrage of her claw but the Lapras quickly respond back to her attack and unleash a bubble attack from her singing. "Mahiro protect yourself!" Nia shouts as Mahiro curls and her body shines as she uses IRON DEFENSE to endure the barrage of the bubble. After the barrage is over, Mahiro still can move and she quickly unfurls herself and rain the field with another HAIL once more!

The missile has been successfully disarmed and the man with his Smeargle is getting closer to Chigusa as per her request warning her about a possible danger. "I am used to cold and most of my pokemon is consists of an Ice-type Pokemon so that's why." Nia talks while looking around. Suddenly, a Dragapult appears menacingly trying to become an obstacle for them. Nia could engage the dragapult in combat but that would take time and that would lessen the chance for them to survive in this cold. While Nia is used to the cold that doesn't mean she is immune to the cold, she need eventually go to a cave and lit up a bonfire. In a snap after the appearance of Dragapult, Nia quickly warns everyone - "Close your ears! Chigusa, our new guest needs to sleep." Nia orders the man and his Smeargle to close their ears as Chigusa starts to let out a beautiful melody that lulls people into a slumber. Nia close her ears as tight as possible, if everyone fell asleep here - It would be dangerous but that risk is something Nia would take.
