It was finally time for her to take on a dear friend of hers and also her savior. The one who saved her from rocket, the details were a bit fuzzy in her mind since her mind was seemingly tampered with. But she knew he was the one that managed to get her back from Cillian Quinn and Chu-e Choi . [break][break]

The arena was blasting music and the crowd was cheering as her two toxtricities were walking side by side with her, one amped forme and the other one in it's lowkey form. One of melody's signature pokemon partners from people who took on the bullet hell rock challenge as their abilities complimented each other well since they were fed occa berries to have access to both of their abilities. [break][break]

Once Matias was within eyeshot she'd wave eagerly to him "Matias! Hey!" she saved excitedly trying to get his attention, even hopping up and down as she was super excited and pumped for this fight as she had a new toy she wanted to try out. "I'm thankful for you saving me from rocket's clutches. But don't think for even a moment I'll hold back because of it! You're facing some of my best pokemon so you better be ready!" she grinned as she was super eager to get started.

she's here. i'll warm her up for you.

after shooting a text to Katherine Fairburne, matias turns to address the challenger, returning her enthusiasm the best he can. he even tries to hop up and down in response.

"melly! good to see you!"

he stretches, then calls out his two openers. his ditto slithers up kangaskhan's back to sit atop its shoulder.

"took you long enough to get here. i'm ready. are you ready?"

Melody had grinned as she watched him enter the arena. "Born ready!" she retorted back to him as she didn't even wait for him to take the first move. [break][break]

"Alright both of you! Let's give em a taste of our sound! Both of you use overdrive!" She said as both of their punk rock abilities activated and their plus and minus ability also turned on creating a devastating electric attack on both of Matias's pokemon.

oh. matias should've brought earplugs.

the OVERDRIVE shakes the arena right as ditto starts its TRANSFORMATION, suddenly growing inches in height and size.

"that's loud!"

kangaskhan brings its hands to cover its baby's ears, bracing through the pain of it. even before it subsides, it slams its foot into the ground, creating an EARTHQUAKE that looks to splinter into shards underneath their opponents.

ditto!toxtricity flexes.

The concert began and so the action soon followed. During her duo's rockin performance Ditto took it as a chance to join in and crash in on their performance and the earthquake threatened to end the fight prematurely. [break][break]

"Protect!" She orders to try and protect her amped toxtricity from taking damage, however the lowkey form took the hit on the chin. He is rocked and slammed with the super uper duper effective ground type move. [break][break]

However Melody would have been a fool for her to not have an answer to try and prevent that from occuring now wouldn't she? "Low! Taunt that fake! We cant let him use our status moves!" she said as toxtricity began to shout things that would make a sailor blush and look away to prevent him from using anything but attack moves.

even before the shield of PROTECT is enacted, matias is already barking out a command.

"CLOSE IN."

aggressively, his pokemon charge ahead. ditto!toxtricity drops down to all fours, saliva dripping out its mouth as it leaps at the one who TAUNTED to throw a POISON JAB down at its neck.

kangaskhan's ICE PUNCH is thrown at the same time to the other one.

"Meet him head on!" she ordered as she saw that the taunt was effective into getting him to attack her Pokémon but now it was facing the rear end of a toxic jab to the gut as his opponent jabs him. Kangaskhan's ice punch meets with toxtricity's face knocking him back a bit as well, ice growing on his face which he quickly shrugs off as the two of them were now in close proximity with one another. [break][break]

"Don't lose focus! That kangaskhan is the biggest threat!" she shouted [break][break]

"Ditch the fake! Lowki, use Swagger on her! Amped! Sludge bomb!" she orders as toxtricity's hands began to leak a poison that coagulated between his hands as he lobbed it over and Lowki began to make gestures that were once again pretty rude towards kangashkhan this time to get her to become confused.

ditto!toxtricity is quick to take kangaskhan's place, defending the kangaskhan while she spends the turn too CONFUSED to throw a viable attack.

"FOCUS UP."

and prepare for the counter.

ditto!toxtricity throws a DRAIN PUNCH, looking to regain some health.

Melody had to start getting creative, Matias still had a lot of options and she recalled their battle during Hoenn star that if she let him run wild he'd eventually run her over. [break][break]

The drain punch lands it's mark, not as effective thanks to toxi's poison typing but still enough damage got through to make it noticeable. " Protect! Boom burst!" she ordered as Toxtricity amp threw up a defensive ball of energy as his partner pokemon launched a massive onslaught of sound waves as he stroked his organs on his chest. His punk rock ability boosting the damage even further in addition to the plus and minus combo. [break][break]

"Is that all you got Matias? C'mon!" she grinned as she was getting super pumped as her toxtricity was playing her music and the arena speakers joined in.

the loud music blaring is bound to leak into adjacent rooms as the walls are definitely not soundproof. he braces through the intensity of it, even bobbing his head to the beat of the song as he finds some sort of enjoyment in it.

his pokemon, however? not so much.

"MUTE THEM."

ditto!toxtricity does the opposite with BOOMBURST, but it's mostly looking to just keep them in place while the real attack comes in.

kangaskhan slams her tail down into the ground, leaping back while also sending chunks of rock towards the toxtricity, keen on encasing both of them in a ROCK TOMB.

The good thing about boomburst? It does a lot of damage, thing that sucks about it though is that it typically hurts your own allies, preventing melody from using it over and over to deal a ton of damage. But, the same applied to matias. [break][break]

The sound waves collided and crashed against one another, Melody's boom burst winning out thanks to his abilites. Yet the protect from her amped toxtricity? That hoe crashed like the stock market of 1929 in another universe. Her amped toxtricity reeled back from the noise penetrating his ears as he was forced into a rock tomb by Matias's rock tomb. [break][break]

Ugh he was keeping up too well for Melody's taste, if this kept up it would be a toss up as to who would win. "Fine then! Let's kick it up and notch and see if you can copy this!" she said pushing her hair behind her ears and revealing a new yellow and blue mega stone. "Toxtricity amped you're up!" she called out as energy swirled around the pair and connected with one another as the rock tomb began to let up ever so slightly as toxtricity grew in size. "MEGA EVOLVE!" she called out as an explosion released the pair. "G-MAX Stun Shock!" she ordered as Toxtricity picked up his electric guitar and slammed it into the floor, creating a cloud above his opponents and sending purple electricity down on the pair causing either paralysis and or poison. [break][break]

However thanks to the sudden shifting of the battle field, melody's other toxtricity couldn't really do much as he had to gain his bearings.

no offense, of course! hehe.

the G-MAX STUN SHOCK washes over the pair, suffocating them with particular status conditions. kangaskhan starts coughing, and though it's not COVID, it's still POISONED by the toxicity on display. ditto's too PARALYZED to move this round.

"fine."

he taps one of his six eyes, and as it glows, kangaskhan's form starts to shift, being wrapped by tendrils of otherworldly energy.

MEGA KANGASKHAN emerges, its offspring just as ready to beat some ass as its mom.

"FIGHT THROUGH THE POISON."

though mama may be POISONED, her kid is not. they charge forward to throw ICE PUNCHES at the same time.

In that moment time moved so slowly it felt like a week. [break][break]

His Ditto was stuck, stunned from the sound waves apparently. But apparently the Kangaskhan was capable of mega evolving? Damn, she should have expected as much from him to construct a team with such a powerful ability. [break][break]

The baby's smaller frame made it easy for him to get in close and get a good punch that distracted the toxtricity long enough for momma kanga to get a good hit in as well. That was gonna be a pain in the ass if there was a 3 on two battle "Toxicies! Hex the faker while he's paralyzed! Support your brother with a overdrive on them both!!" she said as she had to make most of her time with the mega evolution boost.

HEX seeps away at whatever little vitality ditto has left. still, it remains standing, though it's barely able to get its own OVERDRIVE off to combat against melody's.

as OVERDRIVES threaten to drown out all else, kangaskhan and its offspring find the perfect opportunity to throw DRAIN PUNCHES, countering the damage from the POISON.
