Melody waltzed right into the Arena with the music blaring and the crowd screeching their heads off. [break][break]

She eagerly welcomed the energy from the crowd, it felt like static electricity was building up. "Thank you guys! Thank you!" she said as she was glad to hear the sounds of cheers instead of boos. She had finally managed to get to the Elite 4 and issue her challenges, she had one goal in mind. To finally be able to face off against Kyle in a title match. [break][break]

One hurdle in her way was a person she hadn't really talked to yet. Kazimir Winters, she had heard a lot about him. He was the new person in the Elite 4, their latest addition. She sent out her combo, the princess and the dragon and waited for him to finish arriving. "Hey! You're Kazimir? It's nice to meet you formally! I'm melody." she said eagerly as she was excited to get started.

as the crowd welcomed the challenger kazimir only kept his arms crossed and his smirk up as he watched from the other end of the arena only to raise a hand and close it into a fist that seemed to calm down the audience as he transitioned it into a pointing finger at melody and her pokemon. "and i've been waiting for my first real challenger to come down here. think you really got what it takes? cause its gonna take more than a pretty princess and a little lizard like those two to take down the kings of this here ring!"

on cue four posts rose up out of the ground on each corner of the stage and beams of light shot out from two different facing sides of each post as their formed a square ring around the two trainers as another round of cheers and applause erupted from the crowd as the stage was set for their battle as the music blared through the speakers. next came the home team; an incineroar and obstagoon that popped out from behind kazimir in flashes of light as they waved to the crowds and bulked up their muscles to show that they were indeed walls of meat that wouldn't let their opponents through them. the incineroar looking exceedingly more intimidating than his partner, probably due to the other's colorful pelt that contrasted with his taunting gestures.

"and this is just the appetizer course, for us i mean. show me what ya got miss songstress~"

She laughed at Kazimir's taunt, the diva's ego was too big to be insulted by such a pot shot. She was too proud of her combination, the princess and the dragon. "Oooo Nice abilites! Mind if I take one?" she asked as Gardevoir traced Defiant from Obstagoon and gained an attack boost to undo the effects from Tigger's intimidate. [break][break]

Melody heard the music began to play and she began to grove to it. "awww yeah, a tempo I can move along to! Let's go guys! Noivern use super sonic on Obstagoon! Gardevoir give him a taste of a moon blast afterwards too!" she ordered as both of her pokemon wanted to gang up on obstagoon, Noivern released a blast of soundwaves at obstagoon in an attempt to confuse him and gardevoir gathered up moonlight in her hands that was then tossed at the punk rocker. Luckily she had an obstagoon in her gym challenge so she knew that he was a threat to her team.

as her two pokemon charged to gang up on his obstagoon kazimir only grinned. "two on one? now that's just not fair." his tone was light, playful, almost as if he was already enjoying himself. his obstagoon would not be sharing the sentiment as it weighed its options on the two coming right at it. the sounds coming from the noivern were severe and the dark type felt a ringing in his ears as he tried to plug them with sharp claws. its head was spinning as it tried to make sense of what was going on, luckily it saw the gardevoir firing off against it and brought its arms down for an obstruct to block the moon blast as its light burned its fur greatly less so than if he didn't think to defend.

"but that kinda leaves you open don't it?! tigger!" from the left the incineroar was quick to dropping on all fours to dash towards the noivern growling like a mad cat as it jumped up towards it and put its hands together to bring them down into a sort of hammer punch. that wouldn't be its true course of action however as sparks surrounded its clasps hands as it turned its strike into a thunder punch that would give the flying dragon a nice jolt as kazimir called out the name, "THOR'S HAMMER!"

Melody knew this battle was going to be heading in a downward spiral if she didn't put a stop to them working together so easily. [break][break]

He managed to pick really good Pokémon against her team so she decided to put incineroar out of commission for a little bit. "Hypnosis! Use boom burst and brace yourself gardevoir!" she ordered as gardevoir's gaze met with the dark fire type's and a mystical energy leaked from them lulling the firecat to sleep.

Noivern went for a boom burst only for it to be interuppted at first with a thunder punch that Kazimir called thor's hammer. Hah! Dork! Noivern being quite the stubborn dragon launched the boom burst afterwards as sparkles of electricity crackled off of it's body. Damn that move did some damage.

her noivern took the hit like a champ meaning that it would take a little more to take it down. good. there was no fun in a fight if it wasn't a little bit challenging. unfortunately this challenge was probably something that would be tough for kazimir and his team as he saw melody's pokemon suddenly make a counter attack. "bulk up guys its gonna get rough!" he calls out to his pokemon who nod as they start to flex their muscles.

however the show would not last for even a second as the hypnosis found its way into incineroar's head despite his body hardening up as much as it could and the cat couldn't keep his eyes open or even his muscles firm as he let out a yawn and fell flat on his face into a cat nap. following him was the obstagoon who couldn't quite get his balance thanks to the confusion he was feeling and a simple flex of a bicep turned into him hitting his nose with his own fist that made him loose focus. both of them were not spared by the boomburst as it blew them back to the edge of the field and at kazimir's feet. "c'mon get up guys! its just some loud noise!"

Well...that was...easy? For the most part, but she knew better than to underestimate her opponent easily. [break][break]

He was Elite 4 for a reason.[break][break]

Melody didn't let up after the Boom burst, gardevoir was still in good condition for it so she gave her an order to follow up "Gardevoir! Princess and dragon formation!" she ordered as gardevoir leapt into the air gracefully and Noivern swooped in underneath her to give her a platform to stand on. "Gardevoir! Mysitcal fire obstagoon! Noivern dragon pulse!" she ordered as noivern soared above and they both rained down hellfire on them "Hellfire!" [break][break]

"You aren't the only one with dorky names for their combos! I'm a showgirl after all!"
