As cruel as it seemed to look, the bears tethered to the boat dressed in adorable floaties and playing with an inflated balloon ball were the perfect bait. She was able to sit back, relax, and watch the water for any threatening wild Pokemon, and her adorable baby bears were none the wiser.

Their grunts and groans of laughter and enjoyment kept her relaxed. It wasn't until they shrieked in absolute terror that she glanced over. Some might call her cruel. She called it efficient. It helped that she also had a Dragonair or two below the water as well. They acted as the perfect bodyguards, and when they were out of sight, not even she was agitated.

Yeah, the girl had issues.

"Perfect martini occasion, if I liked them."

Remi glances back lazily to gauge the reaction of her partner for this afternoon.

It was high noon. The sun shone ever brightly, and the blistering heat was cut short by the ocean breeze. Maeve gleefully lounged about on a portable chaise lounge chair. A product for ‘spoiled rich brats’ as the sea captain often toted. Not that Maeve would mind; after all, money and glam were the end goal. [break][break]

She rose a glistening silver hip flask to her rosy lips, drinking away at another of ’s stash that she had offhandedly appropriated for her pleasure. [break][break]

Her eyes briefly fixated onto the two enormous bears floating alongside the boat that were playfully splashing about with a beach ball. Maeve giggled aloud finding the act more adorable than abusive. She swept her arm to the side, extending the flask to her partner. [break][break]

”It’s definitely not a martini, but~” she said in a tantalizing tone.

"Oooo--" she breathes out, gasping in appreciation at the glint of a silver flask. "It's better than a martini."

Remi reaches for it as it's held out to her. She flashes a devilish grin and a wink before taking a long swig before sighing, cheeks rosy. God, never held back with the good stuff.

At some point, the beachball being tossed around is no longer an air-filled plastic sleeve, but a very put-upon and distressed Azumarill. It cried and protested until it was ultimately disregarded. The Cubchoo sheepishly seem to apologize, and the Dragonair do their best to sweep the Pokemon away. Unless, of course, Maeve decides to show any interest.

"So, what's the occasion, sweetheart? What made you come all the way out here with little old me?"
