even from afar, the sight of a FLARE BLITZ is hard to miss. it illuminates the space around them, allowing matias the wonderful sight of the rapidash colliding against a chingling.

its UPROAR sounds as it cries in pain.

"stop it."

but rapidash's flames only burn brighter. he recalls it, saving the chingling from its demise. it quickly floats away, and after a few moments, matias calls the rapidash out again.

"you're angry."

it's clearly angry, and matias understands exactly why even if he won't say. the past is in the past; some just move on easier than others.

rapidash huffs, turning away to once again ignore matias. more flames engulf it as it charges at an oshawott in a FLARE BLITZ, knocking it down on the ground, and though the water-type might RETALIATE, the power difference is too much.

a safari ball saves it again.

"it's not my fault they died, you know?"

he tenses at the thought, grimacing as he watches the rapidash's FLARE BLITZ collide against a cyndaquil. it cries in pain, releasing its LAVA PLUME only to be saved by a safari ball.

his best is not good enough, apparently, as rapidash charges off; its bright flames dwindling in the near distance before fading away entirely.

"tch."

by the time matias catches up with it, all he finds is a BURNED rowlet that's close to fainting. he tosses a safari ball at it, saving it from its demise.

and on he goes.
