"No trouble at all," Henry groans, nodding his gratitude as he slowly comes to his feet and offering Georgette a wan smile. "I should much rather be a little chilled than have to endure that horrible noise." He glances askance at Emile, as though questioning why the Chandelure did not notice the other threat to his person, but the Chandelure only swings about insouciantly, offering a tinkling series of chirps that resembles laughter.

As the two trainers continue through the tunnel, Henry elects to devote less time to wool-gathering and more to actually paying attention to his environment. Justifiably so, in this instance - he abruptly pauses as they round another bend in the tunnel, pointing up to a shadowed corner of the cave wall where a Ferroseed is firmly embedded into the stone. With a click of his fingers, he sends Emile forward again, a gout of lavender flame dislodging the smaller pokémon and sending it tumbling to the floor, where Henry greets it with a thrown pokéball.

"A little tricky to find, but a fine find nonetheless," he grins gently at his own wordplay. "Ferroseed absorb nutrients from the walls of caves, when they're able to be found," he expounds, relatively certain of his safety at this point.

Georgette gives a little nod, though nonetheless still looks a touch apologetic for her Froslass's enthusiastic response. Relieved by the blessed silence of the tunnels, she follows after Henry, her attention drawn with curiosity when he stops and clicks his fingers.

Her attention diverting with curiosity to the Ferroseed in the corner, she gives a soft laugh as she admits, "I did not see it." Suddenly, a dark shadow flits out from the opposite corner, the Gliscor bouncing off the top of Henry's head to land, wings out, straight in Georgette's face. A shrill cry spills from her Froslass's maw, followed by agitated chittering as the pokemon puzzles out the best way to free her trainer.

Slowly, cautiously, Georgette lifts her hands and pulls the Gliscor off her face, her brow deeply furrowed as she stares at the creature. Blinking once, her gaze casts sidelong as one of her pokeballs abruptly breaks open, revealing her newly-caught Gligar; the Gliscor wiggles excitedly, throttling herself out of Georgette's hands to tumble against the Gligar.

"Oh," breathes out Georgette in surprise as the two pokemon cuddle up against one another. With a glance to Henry she muses aloud, "I think they are together, no?" Squinting, she hazards, "The parent?" Humming softly, Georgette flaps her hand absently at Froslass who abruptly silences and pulls out a pokeball of her own.

"Would you like to come with us too," she asks the Gliscor. "I would not want to separate you."

Henry yelps, tipping forward as the Gliscor bounces off his head, reaching out blindly as though to tug Gigi out of the way of the assailing pokemon, though his arm is nowhere near long enough to preserve the young woman from bearing the brunt of a bat to the face for the second time this trip.

He rises slowly, brushing tunnel dirt from his shoulders and the front of his torso, peering at Gigi unscrupulously. "Twice in one excursion? What luck," he comments. "Do you have some sort of sanctuary for these pokémon, if you are not traveling with them directly?" he inquires blandly.

His question is interrupted by a Sandaconda burrowing up through the stone floor of the tunnel. Emile looses an unearthly screech, violet flames blossoming into view around the Ground-type pokemon as a Hex overtakes it, sending it tumbling insensate back down the hole it emerged from. Henry, for his part, merely lifts an eyebrow as he regards Gigi, curious as to her answer.

Georgette exhales a tetchy laugh as she retrieves the now-filled pokeball, her Gligar tucked away as well. "Luck of some sort," she agrees, her head then tilting in Henry's direction at his question.

Looking up to the man, she begins to speak before his attention is absorbed by a Sandaconda, and her own is turned to a Wooper. Toeing out from the shadows, its gills twitching with curiosity as it looks up to Georgette, the woman directs her pokemon to attack with a Frost Breath and Shadowball. The poor little Wooper makes an attempt to fight back with a Slam, but only succeeds in meeting the tunnel walls.

Throwing a pokeball, Georgette once more tips her head up to Henry to continue brightly, "Oh, yes. Sort of, no? I have purchased land in Mossdeep. They will all have plenty of room stretch their legs!" Curiosity overtaking her, she asks in turn, "Where do you live, Henri?"

Frowning meditatively as he regards Gigi's easy dispatching of the wayward Wooper, Henry considers his answer to her inquiry. It strikes him as an uncomfortable truth that it's been years since anyone showed interest in anything about the man personally, rather than simply in his professional accolades and skills. Granted, he concedes, it has equally been a number of years since he allowed himself to socialize with one person quite this much - and he doesn't know how to respond.

"I am originally from Castelia City, in Unova," he muses. Certainly this is no fabrication, and that information can be found on any number of his academic profiles. To his current locale, though - truth or lie? His consideration momentarily falters as Emile lights up the tunnel further down with a Flame Burst, sending a Perrserker staggering against the cave wall.

In a moment of good humor, he elects to give the truth - certainly no harm in networking, he reasons. "My home is in Rustboro City," he nods, tossing a pokeball at the downed Perrserker and stowing it away. "My occupation tends to keep me away from home rather a bit, however, so it's equally likely that I've been stowed in a hotel somewhere, I'm afraid."

Her attention is diverted momentarily as her Froslass starts an impromptu skirmish at the appearance of a Bisharp. The back and forth seems longer than normal for the Froslass, and after a pokeball is tossed to capture the battered Bisharp, Georgette extends a hand to beckon her pokemon over.

"You are getting tired, no?" She asks softly, her hands lifting to gently pass over the Froslass's maw. "Maybe you should rest for now? I can use someone else."

Alouette sniffs haughtily and then chirps in response. An indecisive answer.

Nonetheless, she asserts to Henry firmly in a tone, "I will bring you dinner sometime, no?" Her blue-green gaze sweeps over Henry in critical appraisal, something obviously found lacking that can only be fixed by a home-cooked meal.

As Henry muses aloud to himself, a Drilbur appears which rouses Alouette's attention. The ghostly maiden floats nearer, unleashing a harsh Ice Beam from her gaping maw. In lieu of the pokemon answering, Georgette offers for Henry instead as a pokeball is thrown at the dazed and shivering Drilbur, "Oh, yes. She does get tired." Her hands move absently as she speaks, her brow furrowed as she tries to explain the phenomenon to her travel partner.

"She gets still," the woman finally settles upon. "Like she is tired." An apologetic smile is offered as she then laughs out, "I do not know how to explain it well, no?"

Henry allows himself a small chuckle, and if he were the winking sort, he'd almost assuredly be throwing one toward the younger woman. "Certainly," he soothes. "It is not an easy phenomenon to describe, and if you did know how to speak of it appropriately, I daresay you would be better-equipped than myself and many of my colleagues."

He pauses, glancing around, before nodding at length. "It has been quite a journey. I very much doubt a rest would be amiss. I imagine Emile can provide us adequate protection if we go back the way we entered. Do you suppose you're capable, or would you prefer to collect yourself here for a moment?"

No sooner is the question asked than a horrible roar echoes through the tunnel. A Steelix - by far the largest pokémon they've managed to see on this particular jaunt - barrels toward the pair, nearly filling the tunnel with its bulk and moving with the intensity of an oncoming train. Frowning, Henry moves to stand in front of Georgette and her winded Froslass, snarling, "Emile!"

The Chandelure launches itself forward with a shrill screech, unleashing a violet Flame Burst that breaks across the Steelix's face, slowing its advance and sending it thrashing against the wall. Emile spins wildly, hurling orb after orb of violet fire at the enormous beast, who can only roar in protest, great clots of mud spattering against the tunnel floor and walls where it flails.

Taking aim, Henry lobs a pokéball toward the felled Steelix before turning to his companion, glancing about. "Are you alright? I understand if you must catch your breath, but if we encounter many more like that, we may have a slightly difficult time of it."

Georgette hums a soft note as Henry speaks, her expression thoughtful. Before she can answer, however, the appearance of a Steelix cuts off her voice. Allowing her companion to take care of the massive rock-snake, the toddling appearing of a Pupitar instead draws Georgette's attention.

"One last one," she asks Alouette softly. The Froslass huffs before giving a nod. An Ice Beam is fired off towards the little Pupitar, who does his best to menace Alouette with a Bite; growling as the attack lands, the Froslass chomps into the Pupitar with a Draining Kiss.

Once her own pokeball has been thrown, Georgette glances over to Henry and purses her lips. "I think we can make it back," she assures him with a firm nod. She then smiles widely and laces her arm with Henry's to pull him back the way they came.

Georgette ensures she taps in Henry's phone number into her contact list before the two separate.
