It wasn't very often that Hideo made the conscious decision to go walking near a volcano. That incident with the primal Groudon did not endear him, but his route brought him near one, so he'd just have to bear with it.

But he definitely came prepared: his Starmie floated beside him, with his icy Mr Mime guiding him along and keeping him oriented. Just in case something hot decided to come their way, his team was more than prepared to deal with it.

Unless it was that Groudon again. If that happened, then he was just planning to run away as fast as he could. If that even worked.

The sound of footsteps approaching nearly made Hideo jump, until he realized they weren’t nearly as heavy as he expected Groudon to have. The Pokemon crying out its name - a Breloom - also helped alleviate his worry.

But he still had a wild Pokemon approaching him to battle.

His Mr. Mime was quick to act, firing a Confusion at the Breloom, leaving it in a daze. His Starmie took advantage of its vulnerability, dousing it with a Hydro Pump. Before the Breloom could regain its composure, it got a faceful of a Rapid Spinning Starmie, dropping to the ground.

“That went easier than that Groudon did,” Hideo said, taking out a spare Pokeball and tossing it at the defeated Breloom.
