Lounging comfortably on his Lapras who cuts through the water at a steady pace, Klaus idly bops his head the music filtering through his headphones; his voice occasionally rises to warble a few ill-pitched words from the songs while his fingers idly drum upon one of the shell spikes of his pokemon.

The warming weather proved to make for a much more pleasant trip through the sea to one of Klaus's drop-off sites. He rarely met face to face with other Rocket members - it was much easier to pass information through a series of waterproofed boxes left with dates and coordinates. The trip, however, is quickly rerouted at the appearance of a boat; it wouldn't do to have one of his sites compromised.

Tapping his Lapras's shell, the pair swiftly reroute to head towards the boat and its occupant, Klaus's hand lifting in greeting while he pulls off his headphones.

"Hey!" Pointing to the northwest he calls in a pleasant timbre, "There's a sandbar just over there, don't drift too close!"

"Ah," Klaus utters at the news the stranger is familiar with the area. Hell.

The sound of a splash and following question draws Klaus's attention to the water, a confused, "What?" spilling from his lips; a surprised yelp rips from Klaus when the nearby Magikarp leaps out of the water much, much closer than it was a moment ago. The fish pokemon twists in the air, turning fin-over-teakettle to smash squarely into Klaus's face.

"Fuck!" Bellows Klaus in pain, his hands fumbling to his nose now gushing blood; in the scuffle a pokeball loosens itself from his belt and manages to tap against the Magikarp, sending it disappearing into its depths. His expression bewildered as he stares at the pokeball containing his new pokemon, Klaus looks from it to Mars on the boat.

Pinching his nose in an attempt to stem the flow, a miserable noise sounds from Klaus before he asks, sounding wholly stuffy, "Don't suppose you have any gauze on that boat of yours?"

"I'm fine," Klaus automatically assures at the stranger, his face a brilliant red - and not just from the flow of blood from his nose. Tapping his Lapras's shell, the pokemon obediently comes abreast with the ship to allow Mars to pass over the gauze to Klaus. "Thanks."

Grumbling softly as he rips off pieces of the gauze to roll and shove into his nose to stem the blood, his head cocks in Mars's direction at the offer of Life Dew and replies with a grateful, "That'd be great."

A soft whistle from his Lapras sends Klaus scanning the nearby area, his magenta-rose gaze landing on a small outcropping of sand and rocks, upon which a Seel digs. Alarmed as he realises the location, Klaus taps his Lapras's shell again as he utters an anxious, "Anwhistle," which results in a swiftly fired Ice Beam at the Seel which sends it slamming into one of the rocky formations.

A pokeball swiftly follows the attack, and with a strained smile at Mars, Klaus remarks, "Always wanted a Seel."

Grunting softly as he lobs out his Skrelp to retrieve his newly caught Seel, Klaus watches the Milotic appreciatively as the creature cuts through the water and takes out the Barbaracle for her trainer to capture it. "Beautiful," he murmurs appreciatively, before a groan sounds from the man when the LIFE DEW is summoned.

"You're a hero," Klaus announces as the stream of blood is stemmed and the swelling goes down nominally. Tilting his head curiously, he then asks, "Do you sail out here often?" His thumb jerking back towards the west he supplies with a grin, "Klaus. I'm one of the lighthouse keepers in Lilycove. There's a good chance if you've ever called it was me." Klaus then gives a little snort of mirth when he finally notices the boat's christened name - given how many ships he had talked to over his career, and the amount of puns he came across daily, it was difficult to remember them all.

A soft warble from his Skrelp sends the man's magenta-rose gaze askance to catch a Corsola surfacing near one of the shallower sections of the ocean bed. Now that he had always wanted. "Sludge bomb," he instructs, his Skrelp gleefully responding to the command with a certain vindictive gleam.

"Acid," comes the next instruction, the Corsola's shrill cry cut off by Klaus's pokeball striking it.

Klaus offers a lop-sided grin as he's recognised, the sight rather ghoulish when paired with his blood-stained chin and shirt. "Bit hard yeah," he quips as to any attempt at a handshake. His expression shifts minutely following the name offered and Klaus immediately places Mars from several conversations with his Rocket contacts; Klaus always did his best to keep his head down metaphorically, but information such as the admins' names were important knowledge to possess.

A rumbling, "Hmm?" sounds from Klaus's chest at the observation of the weather, his head tipping up wards to look at the gathered clouds in a seemingly localised weather front. Brow furrowed, he begins to scan the waters, his sight immediately landing on the languidly swimming Aurorus.

Well. That was certainly unique.

"The fuck," he utters in a bewildered tone as he shifts forwards from where he sits, the man pushing onto his knees with his hands balanced on Lapras's shell spikes to get a better look at the decidedly out-of-place dinosaur. "Yeah," Klaus answers in distraction as he continues to watch the Aurorus, the man wholly oblivious as Mars's Vaporeon takes down a Clauncher which the CEO catches.

While it seemed his trip to check his smuggling locations was on hold for now, at least the outing had provided him with pokemon. "Hey," Klaus calls, garnering his Lapras's attention. With a tip of his head towards the Aurorus, the Lapras trills in a sing-song voice and lunges forwards, much to his trainer's chagrin.

"NOT BODY SLAM," Klaus roars in a panic, his hands scrambling for purchase on Anwhistle's shell spikes. "For fuck's sake use Ice Beam," the man snarls, his Lapras appearing quite put out at the directive as the nearby Skrelp belonging to Klaus seems to smirk. Nonetheless, an Ice Beam and pokeball later saves the Aurorus from further swimming and a later study as to whether the thing actually enjoys the water.

As his Skrelp drives to retrieve the pokeball, Klaus glances over his shoulder to Mars and offers as casually as he can manage despite his very-near heart attack from his Lapras, "You should come by the lighthouse sometime. I can give you a tour."
