looks like our hothead has a secret admirer. And no, it's not Lars where is the damned lie

Now, this was a bit ridiculous.

He knew that Stormy had quite a reputation, but he wasn’t expecting it to take a turn for the sinister. First he thought that the texts he’d gotten from her were a bit of a joke.

And then the random presents started showing up at her place in Rustboro. When she’d confronted him about those presents, he’d told her that if he had anything to give her, he’d make sure to go straight to her and hand it to her, which was how he usually did things—whether they were packages, or gifts, or what-have-you.

Once he’d gotten his point across, he then continued to get messages from her—now there were random letters being delivered by Taillow, accompanied by random voice mail messages…

After he’d gotten the confrontation a second time—and he had to clear his own name again by telling her that he would never call her up unless it was an emergency or he’d spotted a mission they could do together—he knew that this had to come to a stop.

The question now was: who the fuck was bothering her?

They’d agreed to meet in Lilycove; while Stormy lived in Rustboro she frequented Lilycove quite often as well. Now the question was: would they be able to find out who the hell was harassing her?

Stormy wasn't scared in the slightest. She was downright pissed off.[break][break]

It's possible that this is what Fernando meant by 'stop referring to yourself as a Silph if you don't want a target on your back,' but this sounded too much like the guy she had passed by on the street one day who she had been polite too for the sake of not being a dick. [break][break]

He had asked if he could get in contact with her in the future should he need more help - as Stormy had helped kick the asses of a couple bullies who were giving him a hard time - and she had recklessly agreed.[break][break]

Now he had been nonstop messaging her, and for whatever reason, she had assumed that it had been Lars sending her the anonymous letters and gifts. He and Kim, after all, were the only two men who knew where she lived and what her schedule tended to be. [break][break]

And Cait would never do something this creepy.[break][break]

But after confronting Lars about this on numerous occasions and the young man insisting he wasn't the one creeping on her, she decided it was time to confront whoever it actually was.[break][break]

It took her weeks to realise that it was the same man she'd defended so long ago.[break][break]

Stormy barely glances at Lars, and instead is focused on her watch.[break][break]

"Alright. You can stand off to the side a bit, I'll be the bait. I told him to meet me in the town square at around noon. We have about five minutes, and I assume he knows what I look like."[break][break]

She did as she said she would, approaching the fountain and sitting down next to it.[break][break]

If there was one thing he was certain about, it was making sure to never anger any lady when they’re not in the mood for talking because of fucking shittery going down.

But especially, if this lady happened to be Stormy, well, it was best to steer the hell clear and back up as far as humanly possible! Thankfully, on both times he was confronted he’d managed to present the evidence as needed—and boy that was a ride in and of itself in the first place.

He’d been delivering parcels around the Fallarbor / Lavaridge area both times he’d been angrily called by a very pissed-off Stormy, and even the little old ladies had helped him get in the clear—even smothering him with more cookies to take back to calm a lady down. But that was neither here nor there.

He then reached into the small paper bag that had been given to him by one of his frequent clients and pulled out a thin, crisp cookie—sliding it into his mouth and munching away. He’d made up his mind to wear his hair all spiked up and in its wild glory, and for the first time, actually left the scar on the right side of his forehead be bare to the world. Exposed.

“Want me to do anything while you confront the little shit?” he asked her quietly, taking another thin cookie and munching on it, while waiting for their quarry to arrive so he could watch her have… a… ‘word’ with him.

Hah.

There was a scowl on her face, written plain as day. She was not looking forward to this in the slightest, but hell if she wasn't going to give this punk a piece of her mind.[break][break]

Just as she raised her hand to her hair to brush it out of her face, a spray of water hit her in the mouth. She coughed and spluttered, standing up from her perch to turn around and wipe her face.[break][break]

Unfortunately, someone was behind her to cause her to stumble. With her eyes closed, she was unprepared.[break][break]

She gasped as arms closed around her, as a heavy breath rattled in her ear. Her entire body stiffened immediately but she was too stunned to fight back.[break][break]

Nodding as he agreed to his part of the plan, he then reached into his jacket for his pipe and checked if it had leaves in it. Seeing as there were still some, he added a pinch more, making sure to keep an eye on Stormy all the while as he stuck the other end into his mouth and lit it as quickly as possible.

He couldn’t afford to take his eyes off her, otherwise he’d miss what would unfold had he been so busy with his pipe and then beat himself up in the head over not witnessing what was about to happen.

Thankfully, that was none of those things.

Not too soon after he’d puffed out one thin trail of minty-vanilla scented smoke did he see her being approached by—wait, what the fuck, why did he suddenly feel a white-hot flash of rage course through him the moment she was approached by this perverted-looking creep—and he immediately pulled the pipe out of his mouth and swiftly cut through the crowd.

It was the anger that was propelling him forward. Anger and disgust at how this… how this idiot was treating her, but at the same time there was this indescribable rage that was making him shove his way through the people—well, the precious few who dared get in his way because they were backing the hell away from him due to his foul-looking scowl—and then he was upon them, one hand on the moron’s shoulder.

“Get the hell away from my girlfriend,” he growled, his other hand holding onto his pipe. He didn’t want to flick the hot material in the other end into the creep’s face, but at the same time he didn’t want to cause a riot if he suddenly lashed out and punched the other guy in public.

He didn’t realize what he’d said, he was just so…fucking…pissed at the way Stormy was being manhandled.

Her heart is pounding, but her blood is boiling. At some point, just before Lars could squeeze through the sudden crowd of people, Stormy managed to pull away from the man's grip. Red marks were pressed into the softness of her skin, but she was so angry she could barely feel it.[break][break]

Stormy's right hand was balled into a fist just as Lars approached - and called her his girlfriend. Her stalker was distracted just enough for her to land her attack square in his jaw. He gasped in alarm, looking from her to Lars.[break][break]

"The behaviour you're showing me is highly inappropriate - Simon. If I find out you treat other women like this, you'll be lucky if all you escape with is a bruised face."[break][break]

She snarls, eyes wild with rage. Her hands are shaking, in part in fear and also because her hand is now desperately sore and probably swollen from the punch she had just landed.[break][break]

Simon seemed incredibly confused by the situation, still looking from her to Lars.[break][break]

"Boyfriend? You should have just been up front with me to begin with. Fuck this, I'm not interested in whatever sick game you're playing. Slut."[break][break]

Although his words hurt, her hand hurts worse. Simon eventually leaves, rubbing his jaw and wincing as he takes off into the crowd. [break][break]

Meanwhile, Stormy is stretching out her fingers and flexing them, wincing at how incredibly painful that was.[break][break]

"The girlfriend thing - that was smart. Thank you, the guy was a creep."[break][break]

He was about to warn the idiot to get the hell away but, well, Stormy handled it quite nicely—without him throwing a single punch. Or having some piping-hot leaves being jammed up his face, the asshole.

“Guarda la tua lingua, coglione,” he growled as he watched the other guy slink away into the crowd—that bruised jaw was sure going to hurt like shit for a few days, f not weeks. Turning his attention back to her, he then asked, “You going to be fine?” before sticking the pipe back into one side of his mouth and taking her fingers, gently rubbing them so that the pain would go away, at least for a bit.

“Smart move socking him in the jaw. Although I would’ve gone for the nose. That would hurt a lot more…” he added absentmindedly a few moments later, humming as he continued to rub her hands down, attempting to relieve the stress and the redness he was seeing.

At the mention of ‘girlfriend’, he thought he felt that little thing inside him huff with a sense of pride before going back to sleep—but then again…

“It was the first thing I thought of. Apparently it worked. But he was rather rude to call you a slut…” he huffed with a bit of a grumble, still staring over the crowd.

“Were you able to get his full name and profile? Maybe we could bring a restraining order to the local police squad…”

Also, don’t ask where the hell I learned how to break a nose… that’s a long-ass complicated story that’s best saved for somewhere a little more…private… he thought to himself a few moments later.

“Anyway… are you good now? Having that temper at least proves you’re not a pushover…” he added with a bit of a grin a few moments later, knowing he was so going to get swat because of that remark but he didn’t care at that point.

As long as she was safe and that perverted creep was nowhere to be found then he’d be alright with that, too.
