another new feeling had arose within kim, the first time someone had given him attention that he didn’t want.

it seemed the debonair personality he had taken with people had finally decided to bite him in the ass, in a way most unexpected.

honestly, it was a little surprising that this hadn’t happened sooner.

a stalker had appeared out of nowhere, their heed for attention starting with simple messages sent to his dms on social media. these messages were filled with praise and other nice words, boosting his ego that much more; kim rewarding them with a response back, carefully worded thanks given in return.

gradually they turned to something more on the nose… fan fictions of him and the sender with art depicting unspeakable acts between the two.

this prompted kim to stop responding, eventually blocking the sender after various notifications pushed him over the edge.

kim thought himself free of the nuisance until he was notified of the mail that resided in one of his homes by the pokemon that lived within.

threats, unbacked blackmail, slander, and lies, all written and delivered to one of his many addresses, scorn set in ink with every note written.

the foul intentions angered kim, almost hasting him to arrange a meeting with this person alone to have a one on one, but he figured his emotions would get the better of him if he had, so instead he called a friend, someone he figured he could count on enough to get the job done, he only hoped she could keep a cool head through this, because he sure wouldn’t.

a meeting was arranged in the city where this person lived after a quick look at the address each of said messages originated, a local coffee shop chosen to force their social composure be kept.

he couldn’t wait for this scumbag to show themselves so he could have stormy have a word with them.

When Stormy had gotten a phone call requesting her assistance in handling a Kim Cole fan, she had been confused. Was he serious? Did he actually have a stalker, or was he just trying to be funny?[break][break]

The situation quickly turned sinister, however, as Kim explained to her the circumstances and the evidence he had to support the fact that yes, he did in fact, have a creepy stalker fanatic.[break][break]

He had arranged to meet this person in a public area in order to maintain some composure and maturity. Stormy, of course, was not really a fan of this idea - but only because she wasn't good at keeping her cool.[break][break]

When she had dealt with her own stalker, she had been very straightforward with her actions. There had been no attempt made to keep the conversation civil or maintain her reputation - not that she had any.[break][break]

However, Kim insisted they be respectful and civil in this matter and to deal with the situation calmly. He had insisted she not blow her top and beat the crap out of the creep, to her dismay.[break][break]

Stormy absently tapped the corner of their little coffee table, legs crossed over one another as she scanned the coffee shop for the umpteenth time. [break][break]

"So, when's this creep supposed to show up? What do they look like again?"

kim was just as impatient is stormy, his leg moving a mile a minute being the only outward showing of restlessness.

stormy’s question only made his jittering worse as he set his stagnant foot onto the other, calming its twitchiness as he spoke.

“they were supposed to show up a while ago. as for their looks the only thing i have to go on is the drawings… and they aren’t something i’d care to show you, especially here.”

even the thought of the contents that he had witnessed made his stomach churn with unease, the mental depiction forcing any hunger brought about by the scent of pastries to be erased, instead replaced with the putrid feeling of disgust.

to create such atrocities is one thing, but to force said work on another was sure to churn anyone’s guts.

“from the pictures they’re male, caucasian, a little shorter than me, and have a fuckboy haircut-”

he’d clear his throat, the last mention slipping out unintentionally. cursing was not an aspect he wanted to add to his professional yet lighthearted public image.

A note of disgust flits across her face at the mention of his 'drawings'. [break][break]

"Well, that isn't helpful, Kim."[break][break]

Not that she really wanted to look at the creepy drawings he had done of him. [break][break]

With a sigh, Stormy crosses her arms in front of her and leans back in her chair. She's glaring as she takes another sweep of the shop. When she makes eye contact with some kids, they scatter, running for their parents.[break][break]

The mug of hot chocolate is sitting untouched on the table. It used to be steaming with heat but has since started to turn cold. She's not feeling like enjoying the time spent here - she'd like to get her hands on the creep messing with her friend.[break][break]

Kim's brief description of the man fits a couple of faces in the crowd, but none look at all suspicious.[break][break]

His language slip-up is pretty well missed on her. She's never been too careful about holding her tongue. Instead, she sighs again, reaches for her mug. But she only holds it, absorbing whatever heat still remains.[break][break]

anyone with ears and a pair of eyes knows that wasn’t enough to go off of, but he wouldn’t dare risk showing her what he had the displeasure of witnessing.

“i know, everyone kinda blends together these days. but thats all i can really give you for looks.”

idle hands would begin tapping at the table, eyes peering around the shop carefully, their attention drawn to the door quickly with each ring of its bell.

almost every male that entered looked like he could fit the description, and that’s what bothered him the most.

he was kept on edge, waiting for each that drew near to take their seat at his table, the tapping only progressing more intensely as they all went about their business.

it was agonizing.

a saving grace was that stormy was so willing to sit through this with him when she could just as easily told to take care of it himself.

“stormy, i don’t think i’ve thanked you for your help.”

the tapping ceased as he looked to her, his anxiety calming quickly.

“i wouldn’t be able to get through this by myself, so i’m glad you came along. thank you.”

There's bitterness to her words, but it's mostly just as a result of her own irritation. She's on the hunt, and all of her prey look identical.[break][break]

Her eyes pick up on the idle tapping of Kim's fingers against the table. She herself has sat in rigidity, legs crossed tightly over one another, the glare in her eyes deadly. It hadn't occurred to her that Kim might actually be nervous in this situation.[break][break]

For a moment, she considered reaching to squeeze his fingers, give him some sort of reassurance. However, she doesn't get the chance to, because he's already stopped to look at her. For whatever reason, his anxiety seemed to melt away when he turned to face her.[break][break]

"You don't have to thank me, I told you I'd always be here, and I don't plan on letting you down."[break][break]

Although she had told him that while he'd been passed out drunk on her sofa.. the fact remained.[break][break]

She forces herself to smile, and it's genuine, she's just distracted with less-friendly thoughts.[break][break]

a sting in his chest brought forth an aching, guilt of their past meetings fresh on his mind.

her words we kind with a sincereness in them, and he felt unworthy to be gifted with someone like her. someone who would go to these extents, someone who would stick with him this long and put up with everything he’s thrown at her.

it hurt him how much he’s hurt her.

but a smile would proceed any form of self-pity he had towards himself. he was just happy to have her here.

“yea…”

the time they were together didn’t feel real, and to have her by his side brought forth happiness, even when faced with adversity such as this.

“i’m counting on you to keep your cool and talk this guy on for me.”

Her smile is genuine and warm, even though it's through gritted teeth and a deadly glare. Stormy's discomfort and irritation is not directed at Kim in any way.[break][break]

Even through their hardships, Stormy is a rock. He hadn't given up on her, and so she wouldn't give up on him.[break][break]

"If this punk knows what's good for him, he won't show up to have to face me."[break][break]

She takes a deep breath though to clear her head. She shouldn't become so enraged over this.[break][break]

"You're right, though. I should keep a level head. The guy's a creep, not a criminal."[break][break]

Fingers pull roughly through her hair, an attempt to ground her. Part of her feels that it's unlikely Kim's personal stalker will show up. It's a public place and Kim wasn't alone. [break][break]

the smile would halt as the doors overhanging bell rang, another patron entering.

it was a meek looking girl, bundled up tightly for the winter when its weather had all but dissipated. she clutched her bag tightly as she looked around the shop only to stop her gaze at the pair.

kim was all but ready for her to take a seat at their table, a slight look of surprise taking form on his face, then turning to disgust promptly after.

his silence was kept as she spoke.

“i-i’m here for our date kim, i didn’t expect anyone else to show up though… w-who are you?”

she was soft spoken and as nervous as she looked, an answer to her inquiry ungiven as kim stared her down.

while it wasn’t taboo for artist to draw themselves differently from their art, it was quite an unexpected jump from what she had depicted from what was currently displayed before them.

almost ready to give her a piece of his mind, kim would open his mouth, only to shut it once more, it was stormy’s time to shine.

For a moment, Stormy is oblivious to the girl coming directly for their table. Her gaze is searching for a man, not a small, meek woman.[break][break]

So, when she approached the table and blocked Stormy from looking around her, she furrowed her brows in irritation, opening her mouth to tell her to please move because she was blocking her line of sight.[break][break]

Kim seemed agitated, however, and she glanced at her friend just as the newcomer began to speak. Suddenly the pieces fell together, and she felt her fist clench in her lap.[break][break]

The fact that Kim hasn't breathed a word and seems to be keeping his cool is a reminder that they're in a public area and should remain professional.[break][break]

"I could ask you the same thing. Are you the one who's been harassing my friend here? Because let me tell you, I'm not too happy to hear about you."
