imagine going on a date with a celebrity, speed date or otherwise. he blinks, taking a moment to register his date before finally taking her hand in his.

"i gotta say i wasn't expecting to run into an elite four! what brings you here, stormy?"

For a moment, Stormy sort of side-eyes him with a note of amusement. His hesitation is palpable, but he does take her hand to shake. She smiles, accepts his invitation to sit, and glances over her shoulder briefly to check on her trouble-making Charmander.

"Y'know, a lot of people keep saying that! Is it that surprising? Maybe I really should chase my dreams of being a hermit."

She chuckles, shaking her head and pulling her hair over one shoulder.

"Business, pleasure, a night on the town. Whatever I'm feeling like in the moment. What about you?"

"being a hermit sounds kinda nice..."

not like he could ever do it. he's too ingrained in the luxuries that come with being the heir of the esteemed black family.

"mostly pleasure and a night out. maybe we could meet up after this because i'm already like three shots in."

"Three?" she spits a laugh, sputtering her amusement in a way that's either charming or incredibly rude. Her brows raise high into her dark bangs and she glances at her own drink.

"Damn, have the dates been good or bad? We're driving you to drink, I can't believe this."

"they've been good! but i find that the shots help people loosen up a bit."

they've certainly helped him. from a stammering mess on the first date to a relatively fluent idiot.

speaking of shots...he finds two more and places one in front of stormy.

"this one's going good so far, right?"

"Must be if you're already asking me out."

She smiles, squints just enough to make it clear she's having fun and pleasantly amused by his boldness. It's refreshing from the stammering mess she often met-- or the fierce dislike she sometimes faced, too. Like Felix Gallagher basically calling her job and the league's ability to function into question.

Uri places a shot in front of her and her squint intensifies along with her amused smile. She takes it, holds it out in front of her for a toast.

"I like your confidence, Mr. Three Shots Deep."
