The program generated a stereotypical ring, chiming three times in total. On the third ring, it indicated the recipient had picked up the call with a sharp ding. Soon, luka chêne 's face consumed the entire screen.

"Good afternoon," The reporter greeted, smiling. "Thank you for agreeing to talk to me-- I'm sure you're plenty busy already, so I'll make sure not to take too long."

Three rings. On the other end of the line, Luka's phone gently chimes with a music box version of her favorite anime opening. She swipes on a bit of lipgloss and checks her reflection in the screen, then picks up with a smile and little wave.[break][break]

Her face is interrupted for a moment by a glitch of static and a wide, toothy grin. It seems her Rotom is keen on eavesdropping.[break][break]

"Oh, gosh...sorry about that! Hi, um...hi!" Her smile is a bit more frazzled, but still sweetly genuine. "It's no trouble, I'm not in a rush! I'm just happy to help. What, um, what can I help you with?[break][break]

The woman's personality was as pink as her hair and matching lipgloss. How cute, she thought to herself.

Back straightened out and hands formally placed on her thighs, Penelope's posture directly contrasted against Luka's frazzled smile and cutesy responses. But, unbeknownst to the interviewee, this stark difference wasn't completely intentional. Rather, it was simply a way for her to swallow down the sheer giddiness that was rumbling in her chest.

"HBS would just like to ask a few questions about your recent showing in the Love Contest, if that's alright with you."
