Cyg squinted her eyes against the sun above and tried to tread water in the suffocating feeling of being overwhelmed. She’d read too much mythology to look at a giant maze and not feel like something sinister was waiting for her at its heart, even if her best friend Elisabeth Fiorelli was the one in charge of curating everything. To be clear, she didn’t think Elisa wanted to harm her, trap her, scare her, or set her up for failure. The maze was just scary in its magnitude, kind of like the way the ocean feels when one really thinks about how big it is. For a brief moment, Cyg considers cheating, and wonders if one of her Ghost-types can go intangible and slink through the walls, clueing her into what direction to take. She wonders if Elisa would be appalled or applaud her ingenuity. Screwing her courage to the sticking place, Cyg braces herself for the sneezing, and heads into the maw of the beast.
