He kept one hand on the wall to help him maintain his bearings. There was the occasional sound of loud chewing behind him as Zuza sampled the plants constructing the maze as she followed peaceably in his stead, completely unbothered by the prospects of getting lost, or winning a prize at the end. Zuza’s prize was all around her, in snack form. Another hearty crunch and Memo sighed, shaking his head and chuckling at the same time. If he ever met miss Elisabeth Fiorelli, he’d have to heartily apologize for the gaps his Ponyta was putting in her work of art.
