It's a good thing Bryan doesn't want to talk because Killian didn't either. The queen bitch of all headaches plagued him since morning. He wore the discomfort in a sourpuss of a frown.

"Let's just get this over with." Killian groaned, stepping passed Bryan and through the opening of the hollowed-out tree before them.

Silky webbing covered the inside of the base from floor to ceiling. Killian frowned, pulling some of it off his jacket as Loveless hissed from his shoulder.

He recognized that particular pitch of hiss anywhere. "We're dealing with Ariados. Loveless hates them."

Fantastic.

He'd use Loveless but trying to talk her into fighting will make his headache worse. The second best choice is the dragon that doesn't see enough action.

Killian pulled Aludin's ball from his waist and released him. The black Haxorus growled and swiped with his claws, shredding nearby silk. One of the Ariados lept from above in response.

Haxorus dodged to the right, his senses too sharp. As the spider landed, he countered using Iron Tail and sent it flying.

All the noise from the battle caused Killian to wince. "Fuck." Did his bond with Deoxys not include no migraines? Bullshit.

Did Bryan just heal his Pokemon with a touch? Killian squinted. What a convenient power for Xerneas to bestow. That a tinge of jealousy he detected in himself or more curiosity? The headache obscured the answer like a fog.

Haxorus stepped back as the spiders scuttered away. They'd be here all day trying to take them out one at a time. One Earthquake outta end this and get him home.

The dragon slammed his tail against the ground, warning Killian of his plan.

"Seriously? Alduin, you ass." Killian moved out of the base but said nothing to Bryan. Xerneas gave the Beast the power to heal Pokemon. What about himself?

With Killian out of the way, Alduin assaulted the ground tectonic energy. The entire base trembled violently as the energy spread, jutting up massive pieces of earth that stabbed into the fleeing spiders. Not even Silvally was safe from Haxorus's wrath.

Nor Bryan. A jagged earthen pillar erupted from the floor and threatened to skewer him from behind.

All the while, Killian watched from the doorway, his head pounding.

Bryan's brambled branches fire and pierce of both Alduin's shoulders, pinning him to the nearby wall. He roared and struggled but failed to break free.

The good news is Bryan can heal. Now Killian wouldn't need to explain to Cillian Quinn and Walsh that he killed Rocket's latest avatar. On the opposite side of the coin: Killian pissed off the guy with super strength.

"Littleroot?" the admin looked up, "I've got no idea what you're talking about." but thanks for letting him know.

Shoulders shrug, apathy a fresh coat of paint in Killian's eyes. "I think the explanation obvious. I wanted to see if your healing applied to yourself. Clearly, " he gestured to the recovering wound, "You can."

He might have lied, saved himself the trouble of trying to justify his actions. But the pounding in his head is too much to attempt being clever.

"If you want to hit me, go ahead." Killian stepped from the doorway, "But I warn you, my friend might not like that." The skin on his face squirmed as if something were moving beneath.

Bryan couldn't say that Killian didn't warn him. Frowning, the admin pushed on Deoxys power. Already aware of the danger, it offered no resistance to Killian spreading its biomass along his arms. Using the mass, Killian bulked his fists to ridiculous size and hardiness.

The Beast's anger made him easy to read. When Bryan brought the bolder down, Killian jumped back to dodge. He then lunged, delivering a powerful sucker punch that knocked Bryan out cold.

"Fuck." Killian stared at Bryan's body, "Now I can't ask him to take care of this headache." he sighed.

Oh well.
