Xerneas answers in his stead. "He lent me his aid in my time of need. For months that intruder harvested my body for his own gluttony. This young man stepped in to save me along with the rest of his cohort, risking their finite lives for my infinite one." [break][break]

Bryan's body snaps over to the Noivern who rushed over once again to try and prevent Xerneas from acting freely once more. However, the damage was beginning to pile up despite Bryan healing his team. Once the Noivern sunk it's teeth into Xerneas's neck bryan coughed up blood, using his free hand that wasn't covering his face to catch it. Something was wrong this time. "BOTH OF YOU SAVE HIM, RIGHT NOW." he shouts as [break][break]

Mightyena gets right to work, employing it's previous tactic and using roar on Noivern again, Alcremie stops focusing it's efforts on charizard and followed her orders as well, she fired off another round of g-max finale. However the only difference this time was the target changing, it enveloped the Noivern and Xerneas, healing the ally and damaging the dragon. Bryan tried to get up from the pile of cream but found his strength leaving him.

xerneas' voice rings true. not that it changes anything.[break][break]

rocket will always be rocket.[break][break]

as noivern is repelled away by the ROAR, it paves the way for a counterattack — one which seems almost impossible to avoid now with alcremie's cream covering both xerneas and noivern.[break][break]

the cries from the dragon echo loudly as it pulses a BOOMBURST.[break][break]

matias, unfazed, simply looks over at his charizard, confirming that the fire-type's now free.[break][break]

empowered by DROUGHT, SOLAR POWER, and its MEGA EVOLUTION, charizard rises in the air to call forth a rushing vortex of INFERNO. it whips around xerneas and noivern, looking to incinerate them both.

Bryan watched as the pokemon ascended into the sky. Xerneas treating it's wounds via heal pulse and Alcremie was preoccupied with Noivern. [break][break]

For the first time in months, he was afraid. Death was rearing it's head again so he made a move. He recalled his Pokémon including Xerneas who allowed himself to be kept in a pokeball previously. [break][break]

He looked at Matias, rage filling his eyes before animating a nearby tree and swinging his arm wide to try and stab at the man with the tree root. At the same Bryan rushed towards the root and began to melt into the tree as he used his TREE STRIDING ability. As he appeared to vanish into the tree. "Hope you can keep Eva safe." he warned him as Bryan vanished suddenly. [break][break]

Elsewhere Bryan landed with a thud away from the tree as he continued to cough up more blood. He released Xerneas as the heal pulse it used on itself began to take effect. Bryan suddenly felt better...this was "Did...did you know of this?" he asked it and Xerneas simply moved it's head side to side. 'I did not young Delarosa, but now is not the time to speak of such things. A man as passionate as him shall continue to search for you. Let us move posthaste.' he simply nodded his head as they would need keep moving. [break][break]

Bryan lost.

through the suffocating INFERNO comes a tree root. it's odd enough that matias doesn't expect it, but by the time it actually comes into distance, it's all but wilted away. charred root smacks into matias' shoulder, crumbling upon impact.[break][break]

it does, however, buy bryan enough time to disappear into a tree.[break][break]

"...?"[break][break]

as the INFERNO dies down and the DROUGHT subsides, the fight is over. the rat's somehow managed to escape and matias is left with nothing but a bit more knowledge than before.[break][break]
