both names were familiar from meeting them beforehand, though it's not difficult for hoenn people to meet each other eventually. the region is small and it's always the same people that come up at strange events.

kyle judges civilians that do it out of necessity when he's complied to do it out of fear of getting unemployed.

"Martín del Mar the pogbank ceo. he can beat up purugly without pokemon. it's kinda neat for a businessman. reminds me of crobatman, but not really."

he's heard his name from news, mostly on the business section.

"Adrian Malcolm is a music artist. kinda underground until recently. played with him during the vrmmo craze before. he's a nice guy, i suppose."

adrian's was from the internet.

kyle can guess the follow up question from silph. he'd hypothesized that part with the former, though there's no definitive way to make sure their answer was right.

"it is the unown report. i guess their names are there since i'm guessing one gets to go to the unown hall of fame when they get a lot? that's just a theory."

kyle is spot on with his deduction. which is why fernando relies on kyle more than the champion is comfortable with. after all, who better?

“well, i suppose that means malcolm is doing better with the report than in blade and bulwarks.” not because fernando remembers Adrian Malcolm by any means, or is even aware of his character at the time, but because everyone he played against fell to the superior league gamer group.

back when the bunker was in its prime.

the faint memory of bailey and their pk guild brings a faint smile to his face.

right as he was about to leave the room, he turns back to silph.

"oh yeah, silph co. has a lot of good programmers, right? can you recommend me a tutor? thanks!"

given the previous topic, it's evident what kyle aims to do. there's only so much self studying will get him if he wants to get more out from the encryption of megalopolan tech, as well as those behind the unown report.

peak human conditioning meant better information retention, something that wasn't really explored upon given kyle's lack of interest to most things. useful lessons from youtube tutorials had already been depleted.

kyle leaves before fernando hears his personal phone get a message.

'i don't really want to climb up all the way to your room everytime i wanna ask for something'
