he climbs the hill at a casual pace, in one hand a bag of supplies and in the other a wailmer pail. his eevee darts ahead of him, eager and excited the way that young pups are, and then darts back to make sure that jayden is following.

[break][break] freek and vila have zoomed far ahead, racing to see who can get to the top, competitive as always. when jayden reaches the summit, he sees the two pokemon breaking into a spar. ice crackles along the latter's claws as she aims an ice shard at her sparring partner.

[break][break] jayden kneels against a patch of soil, where a flower is beginning to bloom and pats the fertilizer down. he also pours a trickling of water towards it until the soil darkens. a wind crushes past him, rustling his shirt and ruffling his hair. crouching, he stares up at the sky, his expression unreadable.

[attr="class","littlejay"]unluckily, or perhaps luckily for the fish, jayden is not interested in the colorful, fat-lipped bruxish that wanders up. it puckers it's face towards him in a nearby pond. after all, he isn't THEO BECKETT .

[break][break] jayden finishes watering the plant and stands on his own. he decides to head away from the lake and around the other side of the mountain, wondering if he should investigate the premises and maybe luckily catch the remains of an event that had destroyed all those rangers so many months ago.

[break][break] he stares at the brunt of a would-be disaster, two trunks of fallen trees crushed amongst foliage. jayden was never hear, so he can only speculate what caused such a disaster. he thinks of the likes of mint frost and giona ferrara, wonders what kinds of things they must have seen, all those months ago.

[break][break] just as he's speculating this, there's a shiver that runs down his spine. he's not alone. however, instead of fear, excitement flashes in jayden's gaze briefly. sure enough, there is a mismagius floating above the crumbling flowers. he fumbles for his pokeballs, cracking open mora's pokeball. the murkrow surges forward with a tail wind that crashes into the ghost type's magical leaf.

[break][break] it is a beautiful display of power, leaves drifting through the air and catching in his bangs. "haze," jayden orders. "then attack!" they're going to go on the offensive this time. as the wing crashes into the mismagius, it attempts to dissipate -- but it's too late. the assurance crashes into the mismagius, and a pokeball comes soon after.
