Elisabeth, in most respects, was a competitive person. Her foray into the Fallabor Gym had been driven by a desire to test herself and push herself to extremes. Her arrival in Mossdeep's Gym, however, had a far different intention.[break][break]

"Georgette," she said warmly as she approached her friend. "It is an honour to get to challenge you at your own gym. You have done well, to have made such a name for yourself. We miss you in Petalburg."[break][break]

The sentiment made her approach to this gym more unusual than it otherwise might have been. Two Pokeballs in her hands were tossed into the air, revealing a Misdreavus and a Tsareena as her pair of choice. Not, perhaps, the ideal match for an Ice-type Gym; her Salazzle would have been wiser, in that respect.[break][break]

Her goal wasn't to defeat Gigi, though. It was to challenge her. And it meant bringing in Pokemon that Elisabeth felt comfortable with, regardless of the supposed wisdom of the pairing chosen.[break][break]

The blonde indicated her Tsareena, Narcissa, and her Misdreavus, Lavender, so saying: "I have chosen my team. Is it acceptable, Gigi?"

Releasing Elisabeth, her attention turns towards the pair of pokemon chosen for their battle: a Tsareena and Misdreavus. Warmth blossoming in her chest at the evident understanding of her gym's lesson, Georgette gives a succinct nod. "Yes, they are perfect," she declares, her hand moving to pull at Elisabeth's wrist to guide her to the appropriate field for their challenge.

She leaves Elisabeth at one end of the snowy field and crosses over to the opposite, her own pokemon then released. With a flourish of snow as they land upon the ground, the light from her pokeballs reveals a Glacean and Aurorus. Reaching out to lightly scratch each pokemon and whisper words of endearment, Georgette rests her forehead momentarily against both the Glacean and Aurorus's foreheads at the same time before she stands to face her opponent.

As the Misdreavous moves Modeste the Aurorus stamps one foot, sending the ground rumbling which is answered in turn by a violent swirl of clouds above; hail begins to batter the field, swept in by Aurorus's SNOW WARNING.

Her lips pursing, Georgette directs authoritatively as one arm lifts to shield her head from the sting of the hail, "Mist!" In response, the sails lining Aurorus' neck flicker and shimmer, their colour roiling with auroral colour that seems to draw up a heavy fog from the surrounding ice. Curling in fingered tendrils across the snow, the field turns partially obscured, only the vague impression of silhouettes moving about within; the Tsareena clips against Aurorus's shoulder, a grunt sounding from the large beast at the impact.

Regardless, the CONFUSE RAY finds its mark, sending the poor Glaceon sprawling in a daze in the snow. Pushing himself up, the pokemon gives Lavender an utterly betrayed look.

[attr="class","bgtk-post"]Hail rained down upon the battlefield, striking the Misdreavus and Tsareena alike with chilling blows. Elisabeth blinked slowly as the fog of the Aurorus's MIST seeped through every inch of the gym's field, its shimmery veil glittering in the wintry light.[break][break]

At the Glaceon's indignant expression, however, Elisabeth stifled a laugh behind her hand. "I am going to have to apologize after this battle, I suspect," she murmured with a grin, before once more turning her attention to the battle before her.[break][break]

The Misdreavus cackled gleefully at the success of her previous move, this time her eyes glittering strangely as enormous rocks gathered overhead. She stuck out her tongue with wicked delight as she directed them to the hapless Glaecon, the POWER GEM striking the icy Pokemon in a firm, decisive blow.

Narcissa stretched her legs out once more, but this time, she extended her arms, drawing forth a beautifully thorned POWER WHIP that she snapped to attention. Eyeing the Aurorus dispassionately, she slapped the leafy whip against its hide with a crack, the Tsareena's expression remaining cool and calm.

Glaceon looks over immediately at the sound of the Aurorus crying out, the POWER WHIP causing him to shudder in pain. "Modeste, Freeze Dry!" Calls Georgette. The shimmering fins on the Aurorus burst with brilliant colours, and Modeste opens his maw to direct a bitterly cold blast of wind onto Tsareena.

His trunk-like legs planted, eyes sharply following Tsareena's movements, Modeste does not look down as Saint the Glaceon bounds over, weaving between his legs and positioning herself directly in front of the Aurorus. To attack one would now necessitate dealing with the other immediately.

"You are doing well, Modeste," Georgette assures, her hand yet lifted to shield herself from the pelting hail. To Elisabeth, she quirks half a smile to tease, "We should have brought umbrellas, no?"

The icy shards of the Aurorus's attack caused the Tsareena to shiver, her green leafery dulling to a pale, wintry shade. An angry flush in her cheeks, Narcissa blew a DRAINING KISS towards their opponent. Its scattering pink light seemed to suffuse the Grass-type with new life and vibrancy, the pallor of her leaves once more returning to a vibrant shade.[break][break]
